Karma requested I modify my X-Wing so we'd also have a Z-95. Is there any differences between them other than the 2 gunpoints instead of 4 and the 2 wing design instead of the 4? Also, should I do the two engine version or the four engine one?

take the screens (or even the models if you want and know how to convert em) of this moddin project as reference  http://www.xwaupgrade.com/

another model is here http://www.theforce.net/scifi3d/starwars/alliancecraft.html

as you can see there are different versions of the z95, just make the one more similar to the xw (like the one on the xwaupgrade) to spare time

As far as I know, there is only the four engine version........and the cockpit is different. There are subtle differences between the Z-95 and the T-65, so I suggest you look them up on the web. :)

Or play X-Wing Alliance! :D:D

If you read the SW databank on www.starwars.com, it mentions an early, two-engine version. And thanks Karma for those sites. I actually found part of my X-Wing on a really crappy model on a different site (all I took was a simplified version of the nose cone, rest of it was crap).

Found a nice little model by someone going by the name "Little Bill" here:
http://www.blenderwars.com/models/popup/z95.html
D/loading it now to see whether I need to make any modifications before converting.

EDIT: NM, too high-poly. Amazingly small file for the polys though....

Here's my first run-through of it. No texs yet. It's a (very heavily modified) X-Wing.

That looks pretty on par.  I've seen a couple pics, and the STvsSW model looks close to that.

thats it, as I remember it from Tie Fighter, exept the Z-95 dosn't have flashback suppresors (those thingies on the wings).

Pretty good, but IIRC the bulge behind the cockpit should be more pronounced...

Offline Grey Wolf

Hmmm... no flashback suppressors? Shouldn't take too much work to remove. Just need to use "Delete Face" in TS2. And the bulge should be bigger? Check. I'll get to work on it.

How does this version look? Threw a b/ground on because I was bored.

looks right to me
It's a fact.  Stupid people have stupid children.  If you are stupid, don't have sex.  If you insist on having sex.  Have sex with animals.  If you have sex with an animal.  Make sure the animal is smarter than you are.  Just encase of some biological fluke you and the animal have offspring, they won't be as stupid as you are.   One more thing.  Don't assume the animal is protected.  If the animal has a condom, or if female some interuterian device, insist they wear it.  Help stop this mindless mindlessness.  Keep your stupidty to yourself.  This message was brought to you by the Committee of Concerned Citizens that are Smarter than You are.

Well, if Karma agrees with you, I'll throw it over to him to put on the texturing pile.
