So I got the X-52, and I am very, very happy with it. First, I worried that it might be a waste since I have not been into flight sims lately. Then this thing comes along and pushes me into flight sims.
I have been having no problems wiht the stick atm, the controls feel rather good for me. I like how the X-52 requires even force troughout (my old Thrustmaster did not have this, having some sort of indent at 50%). I am liking all the buttons. I dislike the "Indents" on the throttle, as they do not add all that much.
I am currently having some problems with the driver though. The profiler has the tendency to crash the MFD and subsequently the profiler itself, if you give any command in the profiler a name longer then 16 characters (the MFD displays the name of the command assigned to each button when you press it, but if it can't display the name, it crashes. This is probably a limitiation that does not occur on the later models, thus it's a compatability issue). No longer a problem since I figured that out, although it did case a day of frustration.
Also, when plyaing FS2, the joystick has a sudden and very weird tendency to think that my joystick is not centered whilst it actually is. I am currently digging into this problem. I am not sure if itis a FS2 thing or a driver thing.
Overall, I am rather impressed with the design, although the drivers could use some work. For 100 euros, I am a very happy bear.
