...and so in a fit of mischeiviousness (sp?), Paramount or whomever wrote in ANOTHER Data for him to play! Classic!

"...The quintessential quality of our age is that of dreams coming true. Just think of it. For centuries we have dreamt of flying; recently we made that come true: we have always hankered for speed; now we have speeds greater than we can stand: we wanted to speak to far parts of the Earth; we can: we wanted to explore the sea bottom; we have: and so  on, and so on: and, too, we wanted the power to smash our enemies utterly; we have it. If we had truly wanted peace, we should have had that as well. But true peace has never been one of the genuine dreams - we have got little further than preaching against war in order to appease our consciences. The truly wishful dreams, the many-minded dreams are now irresistible - they become facts." - 'The Outward Urge' by John Wyndham

"The very essence of tolerance rests on the fact that we have to be intolerant of intolerance. Stretching right back to Kant, through the Frankfurt School and up to today, liberalism means that we can do anything we like as long as we don't hurt others. This means that if we are tolerant of others' intolerance - especially when that intolerance is a call for genocide - then all we are doing is allowing that intolerance to flourish, and allowing the violence that will spring from that intolerance to continue unabated." - Bren Carlill

But then why did he get another role as a Data clone? Besides having an android age is quite easily explained. Especially with the wide spectrum of imaginary theories like in ST.

And it were P. Stewart's words that ST:TNG might have another sequel ;)

Actually, it's not, since Data already is really old (isn't he).

Yes, it might have, but I don't think we'll have Data in it.

And the bit when he targeted the Enterprise's Bridge. That was a nice scene, reminds me of the old Kirk days. ;)

What'd be nice might be an ensemble cast. Considering the fact that the TNG cast has been fragmented (Riker and Troi to Titan, Data to random atoms scattered over a light year, Crusher to Starfleet Medical), the DS9 crew was broken up, and at least Janeway broke away from rest of the Voyager crew, an ensemble cast could be composed between the three of them.

And as a side note, does B-4 at the end remind anyone else of Data back in "Encounter at Farpoint"?

If they put Janeway in command I'll go crazy. She's worse then Picard when it comes to the Prime Directive. I vot this crew:

Captain: Sisko (At least he isn't afraid to kick ass)
#1: 7past9 (Some Borg influence is always good)
Tactical: Worf (Always)
Science: Tuvok (Wanna see him work together with Worf :p)
Helm: A new character would be nice here...... Romulan would be best ;7
Doctor: Doctor from Voy
Chief Engeneering: O'Brien
Security: Odo

And no friggin betazoids or ferengies!

Bump, and no, I don't care how long it's been. :D

Just saw the movie for the first time. They never released it here, so I had to wait for the DVD. :hopping:

ANYway... I'll have to sleep on it, but my first reaction was that, ignoring the plethora of plot holes, it was a decent movie. Not quite as good as most even-numbered ST movies have tended to be, but definitely better than the odd-numbered ones. :p

I liked how they didn't skimp on space battle shots... "We've exhausted our supply of photon torpedoes, sir!"

B4.... oy vey - bad sense of humor. :p

Was it just me or did they decline to explain all those telepathic abilities that the viceroy had? And what's with the Remans?? They're supposed to be Romulans!

......aren't they?

They did skimp on the battle, only three ships were in it.

Those were the times.... Massive battles, political intrigue... ahhh yes, the wonders of DS9 :p

DS9 was IMO certainly the best ST series :D Probably cause its on a station and not on a ship. That makes it more epic like B5.

I liked the way Damar developed over, like, five or six seasons of DS9. He started out as an ingratiating little git, Dukat's *****, but ended up as the hero saviour of Cardassia. Good for him.
