Here's what Gearbox can do, right now, no creativity required:
Step 1. Port 1, Cata, 2 to modern systems, release on Steam
Step 2. Make high-poly models of everything in the Homeworld games. Make flashy new visual and sound effects. Update the UI to modern functional standards, at least what we had in HW2.
Step 3. Release Homeworld 1(2), Homeworld: Cataclysm(2), and Homeworld 2(2).
Step 4. Mad profit!
Would you spend money on those games? I sure would.
How long do you think it would take a team that has successfully built 3+ entire, functional games and corresponding weapons, characters, and blasted landscapes, to re-do about 100 models and as many effects?
