I wondered if it was unusual that my computer's limiting factor was my OS. Happy to know that, yes, that is unsual.

Really I have 2 gaming systems, my HTPC/gamer and my Laptop.

Tower:
Q6600 OC'd to 3.15ghz (SSE3)
Win8.1 x64
Quadro 4000 (DX 11, OGL 4.3)

Laptop
i5 2410m (AVX)
Win 7 x64
Radeon 6850m DDR3 (DX11, OGL 4.3)

Tower was what I entered in the poll, posting the laptop just in case it's helpful.
