Well lets see... Theres Battlefield Earth. That was horrible.

I actually got a headache and have to physically harm people when I talk about MOULIN ROUGE. That was the WORST peice of **** I've ever had to see. The damn thing almost broke up my relationship too.

Then there was REIGN OF FIRE that was quite bad...

And TRAFFIC. That was also a real bad piece of ****.
I have returned... Again...

Wow, Moulin Rouge almost broke up your relationship?!? That's terrible.

Titanic, no contest.

Actually, there are movies that are worse than Titanic(or I suppose so, never seen one), but I'm just horrified by the fact that a piece of utter crap like that got god-knows-how-many oscars and was like the most succesful movie ever.

And of course, if anyone says otherwise, he's wrong, because I'm always right. So huzzah! :mad2:

Um...I'd have to agree with Titanic, or maybe Jurassic Park 3 (worst ending evvvvvveeeeeerrrrr).  The 1st hour of Starship Troopers was also awful, but it's partly redeemed by the fact the latter part has more than enough daft carnage and a wee bit of satire (which was missed by most of the reviewers, natch).

honourable mention goes to the 'Relic' film, which probably wasn't exactly big budget (medium to low), but successfully managed in ripping out every single good bit of the book, including one of the most interesting characters.... and they even renamed a character from 'Whittlesey' to 'Whitney', presumably cos it's easier for tha actors to say (aaaagggghhhh!!!)

Actually, has anyone noticed major characters in Hollywood films almost always have really simple lines?

You know, I think the problem most people have is coming into a movie with the wrong expectations. If you went to see Men in Black, or Jurrasic Park, or Final Fantasy, you shouldn't be expecting a new Citizen Kane, or even a new 2001. They're special effects movies. Same thing with action movies. Same thing with plot-based movies.

My nominations for crappiest movie ever would be quite limited in scope, seeing as I can't really remember more than a month back too clearly, particularly not with movies. I have little sisters, too, so I have all too many choices in the chich-flick department (and, believe me, any chick flick immediately qualifies as the worst movie Ever created. They are abominations, blasphemies against human dignity, terrifyingly, face-burstingly bad movies).

All in all, Meet Joe Black was probably the worst movie I've ever seen. By halfway through the first videotape, I was screaming, and I was preparing to commit seppuku to end the pain by the end of the second.

My second and third place would go to "The Bumblebee Flies Anyway" (funniest movie I have ever seen. I literally and truthfully fell on the floor convulsing with laughter towards the end, and this is absolutely not a comedy. It's that bad. Even the title is based on a false and ridiculously flawed premise. See this movie. You will wet your pants laughing at the "science" they have in it), and "John Q." (repulsive, propogandic tripe. It would be funny if it wasnt' trying to brainwash me)

Can you tell me why? I'm not argueing - just curious as to why you didn't like it so much.

I think we can come to the conclusion that for the most part peoples most hated movies are down to personal opinions (musicals being a case in point - I love the Rocky Horror Show but that's another story...).

However some movies really are pure ****e by most standards of people who go to see a movie and not to see their favourite superstar (I.E. Britney Spears etc...) in a film. But again even these can occasionally be salvaged in some peoples eyes by comedy, graphics or some other such thing...

You know what's really sad? Only about 3 people (not including me and/or my 2 best friends) knew what Pearl Harbor really was.

My entry? The Fast and the Furios. That movie was just plain pathetic. And from the looks of it, xXx won't be any better. (It's made by the same director).

EDIT: WTF was with Final Fantasy: The Spirits within. What the hell did it have to do with Final Fantasy. Otherwise, it was pretty good.

if you go into the non-hollywood side... then pretty much every asian movie would be the crappiest, as far as acting, filming, sound, and overall the whole movie!

There are a few exceptions, and when they started making movies with America quite a few good movies came through!

EDIT:  John Q was a pretty cool movie!

What's there to explain?  I think Denzil Washington did a very good job acting in it!  Overall acting was very good, as was the storyline

Oh? So if a guy goes and sticks a gun in your face, and says you can't leave this nasty-ass emergency room lobby (when you clearly need medical help, being in the emergency room lobby as you are), are you gonna harp on how great he is when you get set loose as part of a hostage negotiation? If one of your fellow hostages starts fighting back and gets the attacker in a position where he can be rendered harmless, are you going to mace the guy who might well be saving your ass and kick him in the balls?

Never mind the one-dimensional characters and all that. Or the implausible main plot. Or much of the rest of the film.

*shrugs* you have to remember that at the beginning of when he held the hospital at gunpoint everyone was against him (in the emergency room) but as the story went on they realized he was desperate and he didn't want to kill any of them he just wanted to save his son.  When the sniper shot him and it was broadcasted on public television, that's the "message" the rest of the United States got too, supposedly

it's your opinion, i found it to be a very good movie!  Not as good as Bad Company, but still good :D

I agree with you 101% here - every single word you said is how I felt exactly.

And as far as Pearl Harbour... I actually liked it quite a bit, to be honest. I appreciated the reality it imparted to the viewers by the interrupted love story, and of course the special effects were absolutely awesome, especially in a theater w/ good surround sound. I wasn't bothered at all by the fact that the love story took up a big part of the movie; I think that establishing main characters is important, and it just got the audience more aquainted with them on a personal level.

*feels mischevious*

I must say I absolutely hated The Princess Bride.

"...The quintessential quality of our age is that of dreams coming true. Just think of it. For centuries we have dreamt of flying; recently we made that come true: we have always hankered for speed; now we have speeds greater than we can stand: we wanted to speak to far parts of the Earth; we can: we wanted to explore the sea bottom; we have: and so  on, and so on: and, too, we wanted the power to smash our enemies utterly; we have it. If we had truly wanted peace, we should have had that as well. But true peace has never been one of the genuine dreams - we have got little further than preaching against war in order to appease our consciences. The truly wishful dreams, the many-minded dreams are now irresistible - they become facts." - 'The Outward Urge' by John Wyndham

"The very essence of tolerance rests on the fact that we have to be intolerant of intolerance. Stretching right back to Kant, through the Frankfurt School and up to today, liberalism means that we can do anything we like as long as we don't hurt others. This means that if we are tolerant of others' intolerance - especially when that intolerance is a call for genocide - then all we are doing is allowing that intolerance to flourish, and allowing the violence that will spring from that intolerance to continue unabated." - Bren Carlill

Here's a new entry: Monkeybone. Ugh, awful movie.

For the record, I loved John Q, Nightmare Before Christmas, Princess Bride, and Titanic.

Princess Bride was the funniest movie i've ever watched.  Titanic was awesome.  John Q was awesome, Nightmare before christmas... uh... i'm not sure if i remember that... was that a cartoon?  about this 'dead person' or something that wants to bring christmas to the 'underworld' or wherever he lived!?
