To consider the Earth as the only populated world in infinite space is as absurd as to assert that in an entire field of millet, only one grain will grow. - Metrodorus of Chios
I wept. Mysterious forces beyond my ken had reached into my beautiful mission and energized its pilots with inhuman bomb-firing abilities. I could only imagine the GTVA warriors giving a mighty KIAAIIIIIII shout as they worked their triggers, their biceps bulging with sinew after years of Ivan Drago-esque steroid therapy and weight training. - General Battuta

That's low-poly for him? Some projects should hire this guy with special payment, probably $1.500 for a month. It takes after the movie X-wing.

We have a different scale of "high poly" than artists do.  We're game modding, so high poly to us is whatever pushes the engine to its limits, and so something that must be rendered and collision checked at least 30 times a second.  For someone working with a render mesh, 100,000 polys barely breaks into the medium-poly field.  Everything we do here is well within the low poly range.  That X-wing is "low poly" (actually probably medium) because it has those big flat panels on the wings that are (I'd guess) not detailed in any way.  Truely high poly would be the level of greebling that he's got already, plus full detail greebling (panel lines, etc) everywhere that's currently flat.  And it's a fighter that's supposed to be in scenes by the dozens at least, so medium is probably the best range for it anyway.

He already is, he's a special effects guy who worked in a number of roles during film production.

That's not actually all that much, really.... $1,500 * 12 is $18,000 (~£9,000) per year... which is less than I make.  And my job's ****.

For a part time job, that wouldn't be bad, especially if it's just a side job.
