Well it looks like a two year long era has gone to the grave. I want to thank Thunder, Inquisitor, Blueflames and all the other staff for the time I had at ROSS128. Its been fun guys and I hope to hear from you sometimes.

By the way, this is NOT an April Fool's joke. I kinda wish it were.

For the last 2 years, you have faithfully returned to this space, and, for the most part, we have rewarded that with news and reviews of the Freespace community at large. Sadly, Ross 128 looks to be following in the footsteps of its namesake. For the most part, the content and staff of Ross 128 will be moving to Hard Light Productions, where Thunder and the the rest of the HLP crew have promised to keep you entertained with the same quality material that you expect.

This means that all of the hosted sites, all of the features, basically all of everything (Except me, BlueFlames and his "Scorched Lore" and Maniax) is now part and parcel of HLP. BlueFlames' and his "Lore" will find a home at the Shattered Star Confederation which has grown from a gaming clan into a vibrant gaming community, boasting hundreds of registered members, spanning game genre's and even expanding beyond games. Look for interesting things from the SSC as well.

It has been one helluva ride. Thanks a million! See you outside Capella, and remember Ross 128!

Bad timing on my part. Since I NEVER do April Fool's pranks, I never think about it (I TOTALLY fell for WildWolf's page hack last year).

I'm going to miss Ross 128. The VWatch Archives may have been more comprehensive, but R128 was much better for downloading because of it's small file sizes (I have a 56k).

Well.. actually.. the post about no FS3 was based off of a statement by Mike Kulas (President of Volition) on the VBB. I think that's a pretty reliable source, and it would be true considering the state that we see with Volition's future endeavours and their relation with their new publisher (good) compared to their old publisher (bad). Yay.
