Yeah, I bought it about christmas time for $1.99. Persona;ly I don't like it that much, but it does answer some questions I had about FreeLancer.
I have big plans, now if only I could see them through.

It has Russians. And a Scots captain. In space.
How can you not like it?

The Russians aren't even an interesting kind of pure evil, for one thing. And for another, try how the combat isn't even as challenging as FS's, 'cept that they make you run around like a chicken with your head cut off killing torpedo-bombers and ****. But yeah, not a bad game overall. Worth two bucks, at least.

[color=66ff00]I thought it was an ace game, no brainer blaster that kept you on your toes, so what if the storyline was a cliché. It was really fun to play and no fighter weapon in freespace is half as cool as the cannon on the Phoenix, that was a literal blast.

It's the lazy-pilot's game, as you don't even have to aim in half the ships. The American-built ones, I might add. :p

Wow, I didn't know they got Jean Reno to model for the game. Sweet.

I'm rather pleased with Starlancer--even paid full price. Its aces over Freespace, mind, except the modding.

I finally broke down and got Freelancer for super cheap. I'm pretty damned annoyed. Even once I got it playing with my joystick, the game is still disappointing. :(

Meh. Starlancer didn't hold me for some reason. Maybe it was the long intro or training or whatever, but I just didn't even feel like learning the controlls, so I never played. Don't know why, just wasn't there.

What had me chewing the walls in fustration at the game was how every few minutes it would break up the action to show yet another goddamn in game cutscene.

If you failed a mission you would play again and still have to watch the same scenes over and over again!

I liked starlancer a lot, some excellent artwork (models and movies), interesting story (althought not completely impredictable), nice missions, good gameplay...
it is worth even more than $ 1.99 ;)
