It needs a hi-poly model first, and lightning effects (better ones) would really be good.

Actually it's a tapered cylinder, but I agree - subspace doesn't need to get higher-poly. Perhaps another layer of rotaty thingy, tho.... ;7

becase you can see the edges of the cylender currently

I have sometimes thought that giveing more controle over subspace would be cool, but that's low on my priorities.

More control would be an excellent idea, I always got the feeling that there wasn't enough made of subspace... it's big and it gets you from A to B but you only ever spend one mission flying in it throughout the entire campaign.

LS, for some reason, I can't see the nebulae inside your test mission 5. Any thing to say about it?

Styxx has already modelled a fix for that, removes the seams. Works really well, too. :)

How late of a build? You said that we needed the 3.28.04 (If memory serves me right) build. I have that one...if you mean REALLY up-to-date build, then I guess I'll have to dl that one when I get back home. In Texas for Spring Break...

mmh, I've d/led the 5 neb packs, put the test missions and the tbl in thir right places, but I can see the nebs only in the two first test missions... Others feature only great darkness and then some more. Did I miss something?

A more recent build? I believe it only works with one of the very latest builds (bobs I think).

it works with taylor's new builds as well. You may want to try Taylors builds if you want to make FS2 playable with all teh new stuff :)

This is why the retail FS2 missions need to be all redone with the new Lightspeed nebula.  The original, shown below, is horrific.

wow, the orion looks so much better with hi-res textures (compared to this shot) I thought perhaps i was imagining the difference
