Severe New Case-Ness
Just got me one of those Chieftec Dragon cases, and after 3 and a half hours of transferring all the bits (including one hour of trying to get the HD out because some tit, probably me, had stripped the screw heads), I've affected a drop in system temps by some 40 degrees.

I'm pleased, to say the least.

The Chieftecs are good cases. You have the aluminum or steel variant?

This here is the best case I've seen though:

I got a BX case from them. didn't drop any temperature, but it got a whole lot more roomy in it, so I could put in another hard drive... could be that I haven't really got any case fans except for the one put over two of the hard drives. I oughta get one or two more, I guess.

Snap!

It's empty at the moment, but as soon as the bastards at the Inland Revenue give me the £1200 they owe me, it'll be full of fast things. :D

I have an AOpen HQ-08 Full tower. 5 fan mounts, 5 5.25" bays, a single external 3.5" bay and 7 internal 3.5" bays. I could have bought one of those ridiculous "enthusiast" cases but that would have meant getting a case half the size for twice the price. Thanks, but no thanks.

"...The quintessential quality of our age is that of dreams coming true. Just think of it. For centuries we have dreamt of flying; recently we made that come true: we have always hankered for speed; now we have speeds greater than we can stand: we wanted to speak to far parts of the Earth; we can: we wanted to explore the sea bottom; we have: and so  on, and so on: and, too, we wanted the power to smash our enemies utterly; we have it. If we had truly wanted peace, we should have had that as well. But true peace has never been one of the genuine dreams - we have got little further than preaching against war in order to appease our consciences. The truly wishful dreams, the many-minded dreams are now irresistible - they become facts." - 'The Outward Urge' by John Wyndham

"The very essence of tolerance rests on the fact that we have to be intolerant of intolerance. Stretching right back to Kant, through the Frankfurt School and up to today, liberalism means that we can do anything we like as long as we don't hurt others. This means that if we are tolerant of others' intolerance - especially when that intolerance is a call for genocide - then all we are doing is allowing that intolerance to flourish, and allowing the violence that will spring from that intolerance to continue unabated." - Bren Carlill

I got some generic thing but my CPU temp never goes above ~45 degress and is usually lower, that's only after some long term Renegade or NWN action though.

The case itself is supposed to have some lights on the front, HDD light don't even work, but I have't been arsed with it enough to look too deeply into it, the switches work and that's all i really care about.

*edit*
Went back to the site for where I got my case, this is where they linked me to:
http://www.icintracom.com/merchant.ihtml?pid=3363&lastcatid=102&step=4

My case is all silver, the USB is on the side and the Power and Reset switches are inverted but that m' case.

Got this little guy:
http://www.antec-inc.com/images/160/PLUS660AMG.jpg

Really nice case, great PSU, good design...a bit smallish (although its still a full mid-tower) and a bunch of nice features.  Very heavy and tough and no vibration...very good case!
