There's a replacement site in the works and it doesn't have a ship database. With around 200 entries plus additional mods, it's not worth keeping one anymore. It's too much hassle.

You guys still have cutscenes, right?
Sorry, it's been a while since I disappeared, don't know what's new!

Hmm. Didn't realize Inferno made a nodemap, too. I should check in here more often...

I tried making a nodemap many times. Every time I was getting close to completion Max would decide to make the scene unusable. It did the exact same to that one, but I managed to salvage this one and was able to use it.

It's not full 3D though, as it's mostly flat. Though you won't be able to notice much in my anis.

The reason it's flat is because the Gargant is so huge. It flattens every system it flies on. (yes, it's THAT big)

No the reason its flat is I put all the planets on a single plane and didn't change it before I did all the node links, so from a large angle, you can see its flat.

Mine was like that, too. But I did add some depth to it.

I might improve it when I get around to adding some more new systems to it.

Is that an Oberon with some other odd ship underneath (the source of the glowing bits)?

It sorta reminds me of the Colossus.

There's 3 ships in that image. 2 you should have seen before, and the new one (the one with the glowing bits)

For some reason, I remember that glowing bit ship. I think... nvm. It's most likely a Vasudan ship. Um... is it a battle? It is! Woohoo! I win! But that large ship does look sort of like the Colossus.

It's a Vasudan gas miner map, but the ship isn't Vasudan...

Updated the nodemap a bit:

Next I need to add some new systems to it.

WOW!  If Blue=EA, then they've conquered considerably more territory in R1 Redux than in R1 original.

So the GTVA let the EA take their capital system? Smooth move command.......
"The reason for this is that the original Fortran got so convoluted and extensive (10's of millions of lines of code) that no-one can actually figure out how it works, there's a massive project going on to decode the original Fortran and write a more modern system, but until then, the UK communication network is actually relying heavily on 35 year old Fortran that nobody understands." - Flipside

At the peak of their invasion, the EA control Beta Aquilae and Antares, although they only control the space around the BA colonies due to the massive orbital and sub-orbital defences the GTVA keeps there. At the start of the first chapter, the EA is pushed out of Antares for good, and the main GTVA fleets move on to lift the blockade of Beta Aquilae.

The map is what the territories look like at the beginning of Chapter 1.

Now I need to figure out 3 names for new systems that I need added...

Here are two good references:

http://www.solstation.com/stars.htm

I'll give you a dollar if you use Zubenelgenubi. :p

Just don't use Beta Hydri.  It's the real name of Vasuda. :)
