The thing I absolutely hate about win98 (otherwise I would use it) is the Illegal Operations error. That thing has pissed me off so many times.

Kazan you're ego is your biggest liability.
So as through a glass, and darkly
The age long strife I see
Where I fought in many guises,
Many names, but always me.

There are only 10 types of people in the world , those that understand binary and those that don't.

The Illegal Operations error is pretty much constant through all Windows OSs, but 98 doesn't steal all you system memory, like XP.
If Command wanted your opinion they'd promote you to Admiral!

[color=66ff00]Piracy = process of violently invading a seafaring vessel with intent to kill crew/take hostages/rape etc. and steal whatever valuables onboard.

Software theft = using software that you haven't paid for by means of illegally copying or disabling some form of protection.

The fact that so many people use the word piracy in place of software theft means that you're all playing into the hands of the corporations that use these terms in an attempt to make themselves look like victims of a horrible crime.

Information costs almost nothing to copy, the people who copy it would probably go without if they had to pay full price for it, therefore nothing of value is technically lost when such a person uses the software.

Then they picked a stupid term. Piracy is cool. No one holds an international talk like a murderer day :D

Well. That's partly true. Wait until you'll have to install and configure a 100+ worsktation intranet. You'll go MS, anyway. Better support, better software compatibility, better User-Friendliness (admit it, anyway you see it, every Linux distro can become REALLY FRUSTRATING, if you have no idea where to look for info and help). That goes with a price, of course. If you're a paying customer, you'd get far. Otherwise, just shut up :) It's like complaining for a car who doesn't work knowing that you stole it.

n.b.: yes, i do use a *NIX Os. FreeBSD but i go MS for every kind of Software development. It's just a mattter of keeping Cross-Compatibility and not using any OS specific libraries. In better term GOOD DESIGN. (which i'm proud of).

n.b.: all this unless you have geeks under your who like to work for free 24/7. OpenSource is good until you start living on the software you produce. :)
