in my defense:

if i add the antennae (its gone, but not at all hard to put back) its not going to make much of any difference. its tiny, not ANY difference if you have to fly around it (and you never really do...) and the length wouldnt change-
id find the length without the antennae and then align that perfectly, and then i would add the antennae after its aligned. so, the overall length is changed (a little bit) but the only thing changing the length is an antennae thingey which does nothing, has no impact on gameplay, and makes it look kinda like the colossuss little brother (a good thing).

so, besides saying its not 'freespacey' or that you just dont like it (which are valid arguments) whats wromg with the size? :blah:

boewulf: uh, you can try that if you want :nervous: why dont you just extract the hecate and start experimenting?

little progress, its been alot of error-fixing right now :ick:

Sorry. I do that to, although I trained myself not to... You're killing grammar, man! *sighs* I'm looking for members for my campaign project. It's not a live one yet, but I need people for it, as it's a big campaign. I've changed the number to 20+.

I need:
At least 3 FREDers
At least 3 Modellers
At least 3 texturers
At least 3 Table guys
Basically at least 3 of everything.

Hey Grimloq, you wanna join as a modeller? And to add a bit to my requirements, I also need an animator.

Back to your topic: You should make more high-poly's. It would be so much better for FS2.

uhm, i have some incredably useful programs for makin animations... but cobra, first off:

make sure you have your storyline VERY well thought out before you design it. if you have just an idea set up, tha twill work too.

also, you shouldnt try recruiting people who know nothing about this campaign :)

high poly ships: actually, i also fiddled around with the ravana, sath, and colossus a bit... none of them were any good whatsoever though, (as well as buggy) so i dumped them.

i also HTLed the GTD Raynor, which is my favorite ship, but i cant really show it unless i get permission from whoever made it (i think someone named 'CODEDOG CD' or something...)

Check the Campaign thread in this forum, FS/FS2 Campaigns. Go to the last page and you'll see my campaign under the name Pathways Episode 1 (?) But I'll tell you anyway, since I'm generous.

Campaign Name: Pathways Episode 1 (?)
Authors: Cobra,
Missions: 20+
MODs: Unknown At This Time
Release Date: When It's Done and I Feel It's Ready
In Developement Since: 11.29.04
Developement Progress: Initial Plot Writing and Mission Planning, Missions 1-4 Planned Out

Description: Two years after the Capella supernova, Alpha 1 is recommended by Admiral Petrarch for police duty aboard the GTD Lexington due to inreased pilot activity. This was supposed to be like the old days fighting the NTF, but he was wrong...

Spoiler:
Sometime during the campaign, Alpha 1 is tempted by the enemy to join them. If he does the thinkable, he will be marked as a traitor and hunted down by the GTVA. If he does the thinkable, he will remain a GTVA pilot to the end

This is my revised campaign info. I moved it up to 20+ missions.

Can I have a copy of them programs? I'm a free warez person. :D
I wanna check them out... (and see if I can make something, of course ;7) As usual, [email protected] or [email protected]. I don't know if GMail will take emails yet, since GMail is in it's Beta version.

[/EDIT] Oh yeah, the quote in this post was typed manually. I RULE!!

well, one of the programs is only really good for cutscenes, as it doesnt do anything remotely related to .ANIs, and besdies, i have neither an ISO, an installer, or any way to get it to you without senidng the entire program, which is quite imporrible :(

as for the other program useful for animating, its truespace 5. that i wouldnt warezify, as im way too loyal to caligari ;)

besides, cut the chatter about warez! even though lots of people do it, dont discuss it on forums, you can get banned :nervous:

sounds interesting campaign... though with the following descrepancies:

if its only 2 years after capella supernova, there shouldnt be 'lots of MODs', as there wouldnt be enough time to develop them :)
what is the actual plotline? is it just the choice, and then the consequences?

sounds actually decent nonetheless!

Well, yeah, that's why I said unknown at this time for my campaign info. I called the campaign itself a MOD because I'm going to have a lotta missions in it. I think the most MODs I will have will be raider looks for the main FS2 fighters and bombers (separate .tbl entries, of course), and maybe a new cruiser or two. I could use cutscenes, I'll get back to you on that. If you want briefing, ship, and weapon anis, go to (I think www.descent-freespace.com/tools/ , they've got tools for that) What do you mean about the plotline?
