Only because you have the a thriving economy, Firecrack. But you have;

Civil Rights Rating:     Some
Political Freedoms:    Few

These can have various bad effects on your nation :p

And I also had the Mandatory Organ Donation iddue. i chose Option 2. I wouldn't want anyone to do anything to my body when i'm dead unless I wanted to (I am a donor though). It's your body and thus your choice.

The Issue

Children as young as eight have been spotted gambling in some of Hollandor's seedier casinos.
The Debate

   1. Social activist Larry Steele is outraged. "Gambling needs to be outlawed immediately. It's no wonder children are becoming sucked into the vice, with adults setting such a poor example. Gambling is a stain on Hollandor's international reputation and it must be stopped!"
      [Accept]

   2. However, Crown Casino chairperson Pete Dodinas says, "What's wrong with children gambling? It prepares them for the realities of life, teaching them that success or failure is not due to hard work or intelligence, but the roll of the dice. Besides, if kids weren't gambling, they'd be spraypainting trains."
      [Accept]

No option for 'Increase security' or something?

I'm dismissing this one just because it's stupid :p

A group of emergency room doctors has petitioned the government to introduce mandatory organ donations.
The Debate

   1. "It's not as crazy as it sounds," says Dr. Miranda Wong. "Every day, people die because we don't have the organs to save them. Well, that and widespread under-funding of the health system. But the point is, if the government allowed us to take organs from dead people, we could save hundreds of lives a year. And come on, it's not like dead people need them."

   2. "You keep your damn hands off my organs!" says alarmed hospital patient Jean-Paul Hanover. "They are my organs, and I'll do with them what I like. The government has no right to my body."

Is it wrong to force dead people to save the living?

This is where a society based upon an infactuation with a pop group starts to encounter difficulties....  What would be the liberal answer here?

Do 2, but don't tell them; they won't know when it happens, after all.

Incidentally, so far I've made public nudity compulsary, legalised euthanasia and barred companies from making political donations :D

I'm a hippy state!

I got an issue about paying for organ donors. listen to this;
Quote
"Especially hearts. A good heart is hard to find....

Then this;

Plus the donor takes home a few hundred guilders in compensation.

A little hard to do without a heart, eh? :p

(ofcourse heart only come post-mortem and the family gets paid, but still it's funny :D)

ow, and in the same issue i have a social commentator 'George W. Mombota' :lol:

But and I'm not condoning this issue. Paying for organs leads to organ trade IMO.

Ow, this is basically what changed in my nation;
Quote
the police force is on a recruitment drive, military spending is on the increase, and organ donation rates are among the lowest in the region. Crime -- especially youth-related -- is relatively low, thanks to the all-pervasive police force.

- Funding for police -> less crime (was moderate in the beginning, now low)
- Organ Donations by pay not approved and thus low organ donations.
- More military spending :D

My horrible militant butt****istan of a nation is doing extremely well. My GDP is second lowest, only nation worse than my authoritarian nightmare is the Scandinavian Liberal Paradise of Khybernia. What the hell****?

If only I could spread poverty, famine and armies outside my own borders. I once ran a NS nation for couple of weeks, ended up being pretty strong liberal paradise but got bored with it.

This is rather amusing right here:
#1 "Unless this government does something, Airlann won't have an auto industry for much longer," says auto industry union boss Zeke Nagasawa, in a rare public appearance alongside management. "These foreign companies employ people for a few Airlann Pounds a day. The only way to level the playing field is to raise tariffs. The government would make more money, too, so it's win-win."

#2 "For once, I agree with my grubby colleague here," says General Chassis CEO Faith Chicago. "Although I have to say, tariffs aren't the only answer. A more effective solution would be to abolish minimum wage laws. Now that would level the playing field. And we'd be able to employ more--argh, let go of my throat!"

#3 "I think we need to face facts," says noted economist and chat-show regular Chastity Silk. "We live in a global economy now, and automobile manufacturing just isn't Airlann's strong suit. There's no point taking money from taxpayers in order to line the pockets of a few greedy workers and corrupt managers in a doomed industry. Let the market takes its--argh, let go of my throat!"

Incidentally, I chose #3....
