i did add the R2 unit. i did add engine details in the front of the engines, but it didn't turn out well, and i'm working on the barrels.

I know you're still new... but that isnt detail.
This is detail. I know you're nowhere near that level yet, I'm nowhere near that, but this is a good example. See how the engines are recessed? See the little "ribs" inside? Thats the kind of detail I mean. Little things. Also hull plates. All of the detail in that mesh is geometry, except for the heat burns on the nose and colours. That is textures. I'm sure there are lots of tutorials for even blender on doing some detail work.

Ransom Arceihn is doing some FREDding for him. He'll probably do a better job too. I haven't played Sync but it seemed well recieved.

The shouty banned one on the other hand may have claimed he was a great FREDder but then he claimed to be a great modeller too :D

Okay, here they are. I smoothed out the reactors, and i added the little thingies on the blaster cannons. also, take a look at the wings.

Where is that reactor? I cannot even see the reactor itself, not to mention the details on it. Or is that the reactor what I think is an R2 unit?

Never tried Blender, but I would recommend GMAX over any version of TS. And yes, I have tried verions 5 and 6. So there. ;)
