Well, for a fair comparison, we need to compare Carrie Fisher in 2005 with Natalie Portman in 2025.

Why would I want to compare two old women (or an old and dead woman).

When I'm 40 I'll still be checking out 16.. strike that..  18-25 year olds.

Let me rephrase that. To be fair, we have to compare Carrie Fisher in 1980 with Natalie Portman in 2005.

Did I not do that already?

Yeah, but the Carrie Fisher picture sucked.

EDIT: Sorry, I was thinking of Prefect's post. You're the one who had the dose of reality. On a side note, an easy way to tell the color is off on the ANH DVD is the extreme redness on her face.

"...The quintessential quality of our age is that of dreams coming true. Just think of it. For centuries we have dreamt of flying; recently we made that come true: we have always hankered for speed; now we have speeds greater than we can stand: we wanted to speak to far parts of the Earth; we can: we wanted to explore the sea bottom; we have: and so  on, and so on: and, too, we wanted the power to smash our enemies utterly; we have it. If we had truly wanted peace, we should have had that as well. But true peace has never been one of the genuine dreams - we have got little further than preaching against war in order to appease our consciences. The truly wishful dreams, the many-minded dreams are now irresistible - they become facts." - 'The Outward Urge' by John Wyndham

"The very essence of tolerance rests on the fact that we have to be intolerant of intolerance. Stretching right back to Kant, through the Frankfurt School and up to today, liberalism means that we can do anything we like as long as we don't hurt others. This means that if we are tolerant of others' intolerance - especially when that intolerance is a call for genocide - then all we are doing is allowing that intolerance to flourish, and allowing the violence that will spring from that intolerance to continue unabated." - Bren Carlill

Of course. You think I'd be hanging out in a forum for a 7 year old computer game if I wasn't a nerd?

Who would have guessed the thread would end up here?  Or are we all doomed to repeat ourselves?  Still, at least it isn't poliitics.

Natalie's best role was in the young girl in Leon. That was beutiful.

Leon was the movie that made a 14 year old me, go gagga over her for the first time. She's was only two years younger than I was at the time, so its legal. Not only was she a hottie in that movie, in addition, her character was also a TRANSFORMERS fan. Like heroin, I've been hooked since.

Must we keep comparing today's Carrie Fisher with today's Natalie Portman? It's less fair than comparing the Ravana and the Lucifer.

I'm sorry but even then I did not find here the least bit attractive.

I mean come on, this is Natalie Portman we're talking about! This is like debating heliocentric theory.
