The shockwave was an experiment on my part - I used raial blur on it to try and make it look like it's "expanding" toward you. To by honest I prefer it to shockwavewithout the blur, but i'll see how I can improve it later.

Yeah, thats what I thought as well - bit of a shame as the name itself is good, but the images that go with it are sadly not.

Bobboau, I see what you mean - I didn't want a beam as when I drew it I just wanted to get the explosion in there, although I guess I could've added more fighters and bombers in there. I just wanted to get a picture done that used the explosion effect. My next renders will be more renders than examples of experiments

That's very unfortunate.

The White Knights are supposed to be a specialised rescue force, they are sort of a Freespace "Red Cross". They protect civilian convoys, assist GTVA ships in trouble and deliver medical supplies. They are based on a new class of medical ship that has good defensive capabilities and is even well enough armed to hassle a shivan moloch.

Ironic that the name I thought was most apt for them is shared by a violent and malevolent racist faction. No one who lives by hate and anger deserves the title Knight. For me a knight is the ipitomy of justice and honor. This is a little depressing

Think of a Greek name for the group, or something similarly exotic.

Say 'Savants of Apollo' (Since I believe the first part of the Hippocratic oath is something to the effect of: "By Apollo I swear...")

Even then, there is the GTF Apollo, but check some references on Greek medicine for ideas for a name.

I agree totally there. Cavalier is another term for it, but I really did like knight - orders of knights, like the Templar, are exactly that - just, and honourable/honorable. That's a real shame.  

In any case, Savants of Apollo sounds pretty good, if a little long.
