As far as I can tell, exactly one of the pictures you posted on this page you had also posted there (it's the hecate with beamz).
Btw, using the division between terran/vasudan/shivan ships, one could make special sequences like that for people with an 'interracial' fetish

Hecate-deimos-fenris had fun though
But, yeah, i like the hecate a whole lot, i like it better than the orion
I needed to show the comparison there to the old one big time
The hecate may not be as powerful as an orion, but it can deal a ****load of wupass, it's got good turret placement and usage of them(from what i see from all of my screenshots ), and it holds a great deal more fighters than the orion does, i guess in a way you could consider the hecate to be like a mild carrier crossed with a destroyer
Also the hecate just looks more intimidating than an orion does, orions are destroyed all the time
So when a hecate jumps in system, i'm just like oh ****, i do not want to deal with that thing, everyone who plays fs2 is more familiar with destroying a demon or an orion anyway, and coincidentally the hecates are on your side anyway(the enemies don't get to use the new stuff )

This shot shows off how the deimos is always ready to kick ass as soon as it arrives
(Those big beams are for the fenris, because the deimos has do it quick before the hecate arrives)

I mean right off the bat while kicking the fenris's ass, it has time for me simultaneously

The screenshot with the deimos warping in has no fake hdr, just the normal 3.6.8 warp ani, that was from a different game i was playing that day
All the rest do have fake hdr
That pisses me off though, the deimos can't make it all the way out of subspace before it closes up, shown in the screenshot
The only good screenshot i posted was the hecate blasting its flak, i wasn't trying to post good screenshots in my last post at all(seriously )
Fake hdr only looks good in game, and not in the modelview or the menus or the breifings
HDRish is a fine smartshader, just some things about it that do suck
Everything in the game gets fake hdr, every single menu and graphic(your crosshair gets hdr), that's annoying because when your in game, your radar, sensor lock, crosshairs, and loadout, can be blinded out if say you look at a cruisers engines or the sun
Also when you get hit, it almost looks like the screen turns pink
I wish the smartshader were more variable like the halflife2 real hdr that simulates how light enters the eye, but something like that would need to be coded into the game

It doesn't help that you say, on that page, "I have to turn on the actual engines on the ships" 

Of course, the long-running joke/war at HLP over calling ship designs phallic doesn't help either. Especially not with kilometer-long ships. 
That reminds me of an idea I've had for a while: to get people to stop trivializing fan-made modelling by calling it phallic, we make a ship that actually deliberately looks like one. That way, whenever people get an urge to call a big piece of metal & plastic a penis, they can go over to the thread for that ship and say so. That way it will actually be appropriate for the ship. Plus, in honor of the GTC Great Big Cube in Karajorma's modeling tutorial, we could call it the GTVP* Great Big Penis.
*=Galatic Terran-Vasudan Phallus; even if the Vasudans probably don't have those, it's more politically correct.
I would model/texture it myself, but I'm not very good with doing curvy surfaces. Besides, if I posted a screenshot of it or linked to a model file, I would probably get banned from HLP for porn

I think the colossus applies when it exits into a node
The colossus was made for pleasure, it's got that big handle on its underside
The orion on the other hand just goes in and out of nodes like nothing
Terran and vasudan ships are all good and smooth for nodes
But not shivan ships
When a sathanas or demon or any other shivan ship goes through a node, they got all those spikes and arms on their ships
Just means pain for that poor node
And this is the reason why shivans capture nodes instead of planets, they're trying to figure out what's wrong with their ships
If shivans want to stand out from the rest of the alien fleets in fs2, they should go for a ribbed look instead of spikey as all hell
Now i think the nonshivans got something going when it comes to smooth and sleek ships vibrating in all dimensions to enter subspace

This reminds me of that SOC mission with the "DIVE, DIVE, DIVE" quote, where the Sathanas warps in and almost penetrates right through with its huge spike, without even asking for your consent 

Oh, and then there was the 'dream' mission in Derelict where Alpha 1 is for some reason dreaming about a Sathanas doing that to him

Except it's risky to your health to get penetrated by a spike, or missile, or even energy bolt. That's why fighters should always use their shields as protection. Ever since all fighters were given shields in the Great War, the casualty rate for encounters with those spiky Shivans has been much lower.
