Yes, from the last mission, I just recently played the campaign. The last 3 images are from the main campaign but I dont remember the mission's name, I know its before the sicillian defense though.

I just downloaded 3.6.9 and while trying it out, I took these screens (yes, that and the fact that I got nothing else to do, I admit).
I swear I got this tendency to draw beam fire from every ship, either friendly or from the enemy, missing death more then 3 times on the same mission is just too much.

What program do you use to take screenshots? Just idle curiosity. I use Fraps myself. Was rather surprised it worked with FS2 actually... but it works great!

Also what campaign are those taken from? Some of them look startlingly similiar to Transcend...

A good thing to use that has some if not all of the features of fraps is the omega drivers for your video card. Nvidia has omega's as well as ATI.

I didnt use any program, just ACDSee to convert the images to pgn, I took the shots from Endgame, Surrender Belisarius and the Sicillian Defense.

I think 3.6.9 mediavps final should have a new 'poster child' splash screen   What do you think?

In my opinion, it should show off the latest and greatest features, much like the current one shows off the then-new-and-impressive (for 3.6.7) shockwaves.  Perhaps a glory shot with tasteful environment mapping, with a helping of super beamglows?

Some of you guys are very creative.  Many of the shots already posted would suffice, but perhaps someone could come up with something with just that extra 'oomph'?  I've been trying to make one myself but I am very good at taking the shot right after the awesome bit.  Thanks to Cobra's bullet-time suggestion I have more to play with now But I'm hoping this idea will spark some creativity and discussion for everyone.

Hey Sarafan, nice work but I'm curious, why do none of your shots have background nebulae?  Also, depending on your system specs, you might want to try the DDS animated beamglows on.

I agree, it would be nice to see another screen. As for nebulas in the background, its just because the missions that I took the shots dont have them in the back. I just tried the DDS now (like 5 minutes ago) but I dont know, it just seems that somehing is missing, it doesnt quite match up to the normal beam.

I have been keeping up, and read every single page. I just simply requested More FS1 pics of fighters\caps.

Iv saved most of the pics in this thread on my compy as well. I have a big collection. >)

But, sorry for the confuzion. I did not mean to seem like i did not see the previous ones. As stated, simply requested more.
