What do you guys do when your bored?

So here I am...sitting at home...bored out of my mind.  I work all day, I stare at a computer screen all day, when I get home I'm getting less and less enthralled at doing the same thing.  I'm sort of stuck here at home for at least another few months or maybe a year depending on how the glorious financial situation goes.  I feel like I should be getting more out of life...but I can't figure out what.  What do you guys do when your bored?  Watch TV? Play video games (I do that alot)?  Work out? (I do that when I'm not being lazy)  What?

I used to have school to fall back on...to be honest...I'm having trouble with the transition.

FRED, write, play around in GIMP/Goldwave/Audacity, watch The Rock/Independence Day/The Patriot endlessly, listen to country/Bon Jovi/whatever-the-hell-I-can-find endlessly.

Axem -  I don't know what I'll do with my life now. Maybe I'll become a Nun, or take up Macrame. But where ever I go... I will remember you!
Axem - Sorry to post again when I said I was leaving for good, but something was nagging me. I don't want to say it in a way that shames the campaign but I think we can all agree it is actually.. incomplete. It is missing... Voice Acting.
Quanto - I for one would love to lend my beautiful singing voice into this wholesome project.
Nuclear1 - I want a duet.
AndrewofDoom - Make it a trio!

Work out. Hang out with friends. Photography. Sleep. Watch TV. Sit around like a lump and enjoy the free time because it's so rare.
Wash: This landing's gonna get pretty interesting.
Mal: Define "interesting".
Wash: *shrug* "Oh God, oh God, we're all gonna die"?
Mal: This is the captain. We have a little problem with our entry sequence, so we may experience some slight turbulence and then... explode.

I bike and program in my spare time. Biking is great because it's reasonably fast and less detached than driving. When you drive you're just paying attention to traffic and focusing on getting somewhere. It's also a lot more rewarding when you get to the cafe for a drink after a good half hour of biking rather than a 10 minute drive.

Ride your bike to a store and pick up some Doritos and Mountain Dew, then go home and just eat and drink. Repate until broke.

EDIT: Well what Kamakazie said. Except with Doritos. And Mountain Dew.

When I am bored  (the 'normal' kind) I read, draw, play the piano, compose music, tidy my apartment, sleep, eat, watch lots of TV.  But when I'm bored in the weird kind, I take long walk (10 -15 miles) or call up the same person I know 30 times within the hour :bump:

Did you just graduate from college or something?  It's always hard living in the transition from one life style to another.  Kamikaze's suggestion is pretty good.

I've got so much stuff that I need to do, and when I'm not doing that there's so much stuff that I want to do, that I don't think I've been bored ever for the past year, or at least since my computer died over the summer.

I graduated last year around this time...however...over the summer I worked my part time campus job until September at which point I got in with a department on campus so I'm still there a full year later.  I'm still at home.  Frankly I can't get motivated to do any of the "jobs" that I was always supposed to be doing...

Sort of trapped under my own weight (not that I weight that much) :)

What do I do when I get bored? Well, that's easy, I mast- er... I mean, read a book. Yeah, a good "book" tides me over for about an hour or so... :nervous:

Why don't you do the world a favor and develop teleportation technology for us?  Or maybe a cure for cancer?  Hell, just go ahead and end world hunger, discover subspace, cure all diseases, bring about world peace, and fix me some French Toast while your at it.

I never get bored as long as I'm at home. I actually have a good amount of free time during most of the year, but it's not nearly enough to do all the things I want to do. :p

Write, normally. It's when I get it mostly done; there are people on nr.org that pray I end up bored. I'm not sure whether I should strangle them.

Get hooked on an addiction, like WoW, Oblivion, or EVE.

Seriously, if you got the money, do a little traveling. Thats what I did after I got done with school,  I just kinda took a year off and ****ed around and traveled. Maybe join a local recreational sports team? I was on a local hockey team this last season with some guys from work, and had an absolute blast.
