You know you've played too much Freespace when...
-you see a car in the rear view mirror, and hear a voice in your head say, "Bandit on your tail, sir!"

this actually happened to me.

I wanna see what other examples of Freespace overload people have, whether real or imaginary.

...not again.

Re: You know you've played too much Freespace when...
I take it this thread has been done before....

(Who am I kidding, of course it has. This is an FS2 fan site and this type of thread is one of the first to pop up.)

That being said, you have played too much Freespace when:

You ride the Indiana Jones ride at DisneyLand/World, and when the great big rock rolls toward you, you scream "DIVE! DIVE! DIVE! HIT YOUR BURNERS, PILOT!"

Re: You know you've played too much Freespace when...
You decide to write a script for the Freespace movie, but then quickly realize that the movie Wing Commander killed the genre.
<On "Their Finest Hour">
The GTVA sure knows how to launch feint attacks. You have the Colossus with her engines shut off, her battle group (all three ships) who apparently had problems with their weapon reactors, and a motley crew of fighters. No wonder the Bastion's escorts got decimated.

Re: You know you've played too much Freespace when...
You know you play too much fs2 when you're blasting around alaska on a 4wheeler trying to lose a bunch of other people on 4wheelers and you remember that you can't roll you're fighter(4wheeler), you have limited weapons(passenger with throwables), and no rechargable burners. And the nearest cruiser to hide behind is just a clump of forest :D
Every pilot's goal is to rise up in the ranks and go beyond their purpose to a place of command on a very big ship. Like the colossus; to baseball bat everyone.

You write up the first cousin of Why Descent is Not Good Driver's Training...Why Descent: Freespace is Not Good Driver's Training
You do any modding at all.
You actually remember and were here when INF R1 or the BWO Demo was released.
You worked on any incarnation of Reci.
You were actually here for any incarnation of Reci.

Don't worry, I never got the welcome beam either. Maybe the welcome beam hadn't been incarnated yet? Well, anyway. you know you've played to much freespace when you make an obscure reference to something in the game and no one knows what you're talking about and then you start to explain it but then you just say "ah, forget it."

You know you played too much FreeSpace when you're trying to do your CV, and then you write 'GTD Aquitaine' absent mindedly... (this one's true)...

Re: You know you've played too much Freespace when...
You know you've played too much when you make movies showing off your ability to get a perfect run in Bearbaiting.  :P

You know you've played too much Freespace 2 when you start thinking you're Alpha 1 during everyday tasks.

What? He can do anything! :nervous:
To consider the Earth as the only populated world in infinite space is as absurd as to assert that in an entire field of millet, only one grain will grow. - Metrodorus of Chios
I wept. Mysterious forces beyond my ken had reached into my beautiful mission and energized its pilots with inhuman bomb-firing abilities. I could only imagine the GTVA warriors giving a mighty KIAAIIIIIII shout as they worked their triggers, their biceps bulging with sinew after years of Ivan Drago-esque steroid therapy and weight training. - General Battuta
