Don't make them rotate.

To make the movement even noticeable, it would practically require winds blowing at 10 km/s or something like that (minimum).

So I would say it's needless to make the clouds move at all in this case... :p

High atmosphere winds move at +100 mph IIRC. :) Plus a reaaaaaally slow rotation would look nice :)

Well, if someone is happy to fix the Earth model for me, they're welcome to, because I'm not sure how to do whatever it is you're advising. :nervous:

You know that Omni released this stuff quite some time ago ?

Hmm... I think, that's the third or fourth time, somebody tried creating a StarTrek Modification for FS2. But it looks like there is a curse on the whole process. There is also a thread in this forum haveing StarTrek models. Wouldn't it be better if a team would be formed?

No, I'm good. The only help I really need is model fixing, which I obviously can't do. :)

I dropped this project YEARS ago because of lack of support (ie full fledged project formation). The original release thread stil has working links but that was for a very old build of FSO. http://www.hard-light.net/forums/index.php/topic,19747.0.html

Cobra is currently attempting to modernize but its gonna take alot more than that to create a cohesive Trek Mod. I converted most of those models from the Bridge Commander modding community here. http://bridgecommander.filefront.com/

I'd love to see Trek in Freespace again, but I got bigger Battlestars to fry. You noobs ought to pick up Milkshape 3d for extraction (with permissions of course) of those models from BCfiles.com and learn Truespace or 3dsmax to help Cobra fix and convert more ships.

Which I have been doing not only for the fighter mod, (thanks to enourmous support from KA modders, as well as the SFC3 and BC contacts I made since the start) but also for the fanfiction screenies.

A hyperthetical/Humorous encounter for Skeet's "A Thin Veneer"

Note that was long before the connie I had from Omni got corrupted.

As for a "Team", until people send me a PM saying, "I read your threads here (or) on Game Warden and have X skill to contribute. Can you use the help?"
Progress will continue as it has been since 2003 S.L.O.W.

I just had a HD crash myself and it probably won't be till tax time I get all sorted out again. In the mean time I am gathering NEW resources and acquiring permissions for them...

Plus people who have contributed in the past (and continue to do so) have RL problems as well. Just one example: MARKYD is deployed now, so several meshes are "on hold" pending his hopefully safe return to the land of the Big PX.

In between I've been helping or doing other projects myself, such as securing 2 dozen med-high poly models for use in Stargate - Earth's Defence. (like the 50k Deadelus). We just got an update and since I have to get all the 3d programs I had reinstalled I can't open them yet, but the Wraith and Ori are included.

And Cobra? What's up with the Sovvy? It was working fine a year ago...
The only change I made was from the "blobs" to "Trek-Style" torpedoes.
It was only recently I got two of them animated versus static images.

This is my Modding sig on Trek boards: All made from FS2 Screenshots

And while you can do turrets however you want, I chose NOT to re-invent the wheel and simply make invisible cubes placed OVER the weapons textures onthe ships, or in logical locations for those ships that have no stips or weapons ports placed on their textures. THAT is Trek-Style.

And as you can see Phasers (and related weapons) will in general NOT pierce shields unless they have that capability - like the Breen weapon -and will have that tag added in the table. (Note - Ignore the flight of f-302's in the lower right corner, I was testing multiple things at same time.)

I might. :)

Also, turreting on the constitution is coming along. Problem is they don't seem to want to work in-game. :doubt:

Well, I guess I'm in the good topic. I downloaded yesterday the Star Trek mod pack from http://www.unimatrix01-fs2.de/13906/home.html . There is no combat in the whole missions simulator but when I became a traitor because I want to see how well Trek ship will react and open fire, after several seconds, the game crashed.

I don't know the cause, so, I made with Fred2 Open some basic mission just to test them. And finally, all I got when they open fire or when I open fire, the game crashed with no message.

If I read the errorlog, I get this :
