Coolest: The battle above Earth in the inferno campaign.

Funniest: When i called in a volition bravos using cheat codes.

Scariest: One of those scenes when you hear the heavy breathing in the transcendant campaign

Weirdest: When i somehow self destructed in a FRED mission i created.

wierdest thing I've seen was when I was playing derelict, a Hippocrates made it almost to it's next waypoint, but couldn't hit it just right.  It sat there, rotating, spinning, around right where it was supposed to go for it's waypoint but just couldn't make it.  I cranked up the speed, and got a pretty interesting show.  After about 10-20 elapsed minutes, in-game-time, it found it's waypoint and warped out.  That was a weird bug. 

I really wasn't scared in Freespace, though I was scared by Ransom's campaigns.  I also got really wierded out by the ending of Homesick. 

As for the things I find cool and awesome: Asteroid defense missions.  I really like em.. I dont know why, but they're fun.  Coolest part the first time I played through FS2 was the first time you see beams in-game.  FS1's coolest part for me was discovering I could disable certain subsystems rather than having to blow something up.  Small Deadly Space is easier if you disable the two freighters rather than try to destroy them, as you'll probably have enough time to destroy one of them before the other jumps.

funniest: has to be derilect, that missions where your in the sleep stage you see the marie calaste, then a sj jumps in!!!.

Weirdest: the Thebes got stuck before warping out on one of the sj's arms, so it was stuck there and couldnt jump out.

Coolest: Destroying the Lucifer (If this is FS2 Moments only, then destroying the lucifer in FS Port)
Scariest: Beginning of the SOC mission with the Maras (yes, the Dive Dive Dive! one)
Wierdest: Dream Sequence In Derilect. No offence, but they broke tha "Have no downtimes longer then 30 seconds" extremly. I put that one up to the fastest time rate I could still fly at (x16).
Funniest: Somehow killing myself with mo own missles. No, I did not shoot them at a ship, so I think it was a glitch. Especially since my hull intregrary was about 65%, and my missles were Hornets and Harpoons.

Coolest moment: FS1-The Bastion taking out the SD Tantalus near the end...
FS2-Defending the Bastion, and the cutscene that follows.

Funniest:the part in The Great Hunt, when one of the captains says "Steady as she goes." such an anachronism

Funniest: after he said DIVE DIVE DIVE i got smacked the face by the sathanas since i was busy drinking pop with my hands off the controls.......and even funnier still is how i shot all the pop out of my mouth in one big blast when i relized it was comming to me at 300+ mp/s......priceless

Coolest: when the colossus survives the collission with the repulse WOOT!!!

Scariest: scarier still is when capella whent supernova

weirdest: when in the last mission a science cruiser got clipped into a medical frigate while the frigate dragged them both into suspace.

Coolest: Toughie. Probably in the Transcend mission where the cruiser jumps in on top of the Zephyrus and destroys both. Mixture of cool and hilarity, with a sneaking horror. Also, the Capella supernova. Mixture of extreme awesomeness and horror (I was about ten kilometers out, IIRC).

Funniest: DEM and JAD, specifically the Disco Inferno part of JAD. I died three times because I couldn't focus, I was laughing so hard.

Scariest: Transcend in general. Sync didn't scare me so much (though it was equally awesome), but Transcend...I jumped out of my seat when the heavy breathing kicked in. In my defense, it was 2 AM, I was tired, and had loud headphones on, and didn't know Transcend was scary at all (hehe, I'm an idiot). Along with that, the time the screen went black and, when it goes back to normal, half the enemy fleet has disappeared and the other half is exploding. I dunno, but it scared the crap out of me.

Weirdest: JAD/DEM. For trippy, 'What the hell's going on?!' weird, see Transcend.

ah, yes...the colission in transcend that toby mentioned....THAT was without a doubt the coolest thing i ever saw (or at least one of). Spinning cruisers......LOL

Which time? XD I've had so many mishaps, accidents, and general 'HOHMAHGAWD, WHAT IS THAT!?' moments, I've lost count. Most are generally followed with my immediate death.

My first encounter with a Sathanas getting pissed off at a cap ship and shooting it? I ran into the beam. I heard it charging, and only had time to dive and hit the 'burners before it fried me. Oh, and my first encounter with a Terran Slash beam...similar. Except I was nowhere near the target. I hate TSlashes now.

My first encounter with most beams involves my death, actually. =/ First time I saw AAA beams on a friendly ship, the big friendly blue beam became intimately acquianted with my hull, completely missing the bomber in front of me.

And then there was the 'DIVE, DIVE, DIVE!' moment. I accidentally pulled the stick back. *cough* I became a hood ornament. The second time over, I didn't expect the big boom of the Shivan Comm Nodes, and got megapwnd by it.

Don't even get me started on my deaths in Transcend, Sync, DEM (I'm pathetic), and Derelict, either. Hell, I even died in the Dream Sequence in Derelict. I don't even know how. Something ran into me.

And to Haloboy: YEAH! XD I was about 5k from it when it happened, and all I did was cut power to engines and boost shields, simply so I could watch the mayhem. I restarted the mission simply to see it again, I was so confused/curious as to the cause of the mayhem.

That was a Sathanas? I honestly didn't know. =/ All I saw was a big pointy thing pass me, and all of a sudden, something ran into me and killed me. I assume, now, that the big pointy thing was one of the front spire things.

I've come to the conclusion that I win at life. Or at least, losing life. I win at losing life. Yeah!

well in the dream sequence i got smacked by the sathanas comming in but for some reason i just bounced off at like 900+ m/s. i just kept flying while a little window reading "downloading new orders" came in. i'm like WTF!?

Scariest: When I had about a dozen Harpoons going up my tailpipe w/o any Countermeasures.
Funniest: In the sixth Homesick mission, 2 Tritons and the Overseer crash into each other and spin like crazy.
Wierdest: The Derelict dream sequence, I couldn't find my way around so I ended up flying around for 90 minutes looking for the sath.
Coolest: When I saw 2 enemy hercs crash into each other.
