Batman Begins should really be given extra credit for breathing new life into the Batman series, an exceptionally impressive feat after how brutally Batman & Robin sodomised the franchise.

I just saw it lastnight and I'm crushed.  Man what a letdown compared to the first two. There was just so much crap in there that was never even hinted at as being anywhere in Raimi's mind during the other two films.

It started out a bit weak but the first half was still ok and could have ended up a great movie but the ending just sucked all enjoyment out of it. The whole thing was flabby, carrying too much weight; just like Toby. Sandman shouldn't have been in it. There wasn't enough time to develop him properly and he ended up just being rediculous.

Batman Begins was very good. Big fan of Christian Bale I am.
Watch out for the Guns! They'll getcha!

I'm afraid I also fall into the "I can't believe it wasn't what  I was hoping for" catagory.

(Spoilers ahead..)

The action scenes were good but the bad guys were underdeveloped and shallow. Parkers "emo" phase was more comical than anything else as the emo trend over here is something of a joke... rather than being "dark and broody and badass" as was probably the intention. Harrys "I hate you, wait... now I know the truth and I'll help you save the day, only to get killed (and) redeemed in the process)" thing could be seen coming a mile away. Mary Jane was a wet blanket throughout the whole thing and that pretty much concludes that all she's good for is getting kidnapped. Venom was pretty class but didn't see nearly enough screen time.

If anything I found myself laughing through it more than I was engaged by it. I did like the deliberate comical moments such as the Daily Bugels chief being told which pills to take via a very loud buzzer etc. But in some places these were really badly used (IE: the banter between him and the girl he was buying a camera from... what the ****? way to break up the tension!).

And finally there's the sodding "Spidey posing infront of the US flag" thing. Great for patriots, cheesy and unnecessary for everyone else.

Meh... I'd give the first one a 7/10, the second an 8 (or 9)/10 and the third a 6/10.

Saw it last night, it was good, but I ring what everyone else has said, not as good as the first or the better second.

Too much whining, not enough action and far to predictable, and quite stupid in some parts.

Speaking of...

Good ol' Control-Alt-Del has apparently also noticed teh funnyness.

I have yet to see the movie, perhaps tomorrow.
There are three things that last forever: Abort, Retry, Fail - and the greatest of these is Fail.

I saw it today, and I think it wasn't the best, but that the same time it was better than most of the crap Hollywood has been producing lately.

"Producing" is too good of a word.  "****ting Out" is a better term.

- Emo Peter? Oh ****
- Three villains? Oh ****
- TURN THE COAT AND BECOME ONE OF US? Oh ****
- Gwen in a same movie as three villains? Oh ****
- hay let's just jizzlob this meteorite... over there and have the symbiote appear from it because fuk dis we want venom and who cares about how he comes into existence so ok, stevie, DO IT FOR THE LOVE OF GOD

It was too packed, too full of different elements. Venom remained as a really shallow character - not even 2D, but something like 0.8BD-character or something. Sandman? "WAAAAAAAARGH SMASH KILL oh i just want to talk to you"

We could've used more Symbiote-Spider kicking ass and taking names. Now we have the goddamn ridiculous Emo Peter which is, frankly, gayer than a bunch of cherry pies.

one word to describe sm3. Awful.

SM + 2 + 3. all crap it's all love and romance from the start. now batman, his moives were cheap and nasty but they were better then what ever sm had to offer. the best bit is there 10 - 20 year gap between movies. shows how shallow films have got these days.

if you want something good to watch that is action try,one of these old/newer war films that don't have this rediculous love scene and horrible music.

My 2 cents.

Perhaps you've forgotten that Spidey at the present is just out of his teens?  He's prolly on an emo roller coaster.
