Whoa whoa, what are the carry laws in Kansas? I know you have to be 21 to buy a pistol or apply for a CCL in Texas. Not sure how the law applies for just possessing a pistol though...

21 to purchase.  Gifts are a different matter.  I don't intend to carry it, since it isn't allowed on the campus I'm going to anyway.  It's still nice to have.
