Watching The Princess Bride with one of my English classes.

Some days I really love my job. Classes for the next two days are basically watching movies every morning and telling the class to write me a short review for homework.

You'll probably like one of the subjects I'm taking. It's called History of Motion Graphics and Animation. One string of shorts or a film screened every lesson.

Haven't had the chance to actually get down and dirty with them yet, but my (albeit somewhat limited) knowledge of automotive electrical systems is leading me to guess the speakers just stopped working.  Not sure why though.

Eh you've already replaced them so there's not much to do now. A cheap set will be loud and that's about it. Other than the fact that I don't have a car, I've never really been impressed by people who go to extreme lengths to make their car audio systems as loud as possible. I much prefer to spend my money on a good home hifi and a car then a loud car and a boombox.

I'm screwed. I'm also failing Earth Science at the moment since I haven't done any labs this quarter. I'm 40 mins short of 1200, which means I'm not eligible for regents. I can still take the local final and pass the class so I don't have to retake it, but it won't count for my diploma.

EDIT: Now I'm pissed because I just found out while doing my ES abstract that these guys are dying out.

yeah man, this might sound rather harsh, but it sounds like you've had it coming.  i lost some minor stuff electronically as well, and then i started storing important files in no less than 3 locations.  two computers and a flash drive.

Indeed. My important thingies are stored on (at least) two computers and an external HDD. Occasionally I also make backup DVDs. Really important stuff also ends up on my school web space and possibly on the magazine subscription webspace. Really, really important documents may also end up on one or more of my emails.
