Testing and tweaking the face detection algorithm on a Unix environment (with powf()) while waiting for an opportunity to gain access to the EIR. Most recent results included as an attachment (note: the red rectangle represents what the algorithm considers to be the "most likely" face candidate).

The driver of the bus I was on from school to the nearest train station was a tad impatient. He sounded the horn for at least a full minute at a van belonging to a mailbox collector and a taxi. Both vehicles were parked in the bus lane, but weren't going to stay there for long; the mailman was getting the mail from the mailbox about thirty metres away, and the taxi was letting a passenger down. In addition, there were two other normal lanes beside the bus lane, which were empty at that point in time. The bus driver could have driven around them; he chose not to, and as a result wasted five minutes of everybody sitting on the bus.
