I can't figure out how to change orbit plane in Orbiter.
burn normal or antinormal
also its a good idea to do it with an eccentric orbit, saves fuel
that's what I was trying to do. I was trying it in the Atlantis, so maybe I just didn't have enough fuel for a noticeable change.
yea, the space shuttle is huge and doesnt have very much fuel for the oms. it gives you enough for insertion into the desired orbit and enough to get you back into the atmo. you have to wait for a launch window and proceed along the correct heading for the orbit you're trying to get to. the oms doesnt have the fuel to do much more than a minor correction (a few degrees max) to the orbital plane. the space shuttle doesn't allow for much margin for error.
use the map mfd to both find a launch window and to figure out your heading during launch. i havent played in some time so i cant remember the whole procedure.
