There's cheats that will let you destroy them if they're still targetable. It had to be done for an LP I saw.

Was in hotel room w/o internet for past couple days.

Managed to speed up my computer considerably by cleaning out loads and loads of dust that seemed to have accumulated there over the past year.

Just finished reading The Lovely Bones e-book after watching the film and at the behest of some of my friends. It was wonderfully written, but parts left me feeling...queasy.

After a long break I finally pulled out the 1/285th Micro Armor and pretty much finished all my pre-paint customization (though I'm still considering the daunting task of fashioning crew for the open turrets of the TDs). All the stowage and sand bags I've scratch built will add quite a bit of individual character to my units which otherwise would have been pretty bland due to the homogeneous paint scheme maintained by the Allies. Next step will be base coating the lot and eventually going OD green crazy on them.

My current available Task Org is as follows:

Armored Vehicles:

I also have some 105mm M2A1 howitzers that I want to build into an artillery battery diorama, but in game terms indirect fire is going to be coming from off board for most scenarios. While I have procrastinated in getting my force table ready in the meantime I've been busy procuring and absorbing as much info as possible on my equipment and tactics. I have been pouring through the Osprey Publishing books dealing with the specific AFVs in my forces as well as material dealing with tactics and operations. Though as I read through the interwar development of the Armored Force and especially the operations conducted to breakout of Normandy I find myself pretty flabbergasted at the incompetence shown by the upper echelons of the Allied commands. Its rather disheartening how many men and material where wasted due to the inability of the western allies to develop tank doctrine and technology compounded with damn foolish Ops like Goodwood, Spring, Bluecoat and Totalize. On the plus side 3rd Army's exploits in the Lorraine, the Polish 1st Armored Division's closing of the Falaise Gap, and Cobra give me hope that the proper tactics my armor can overcome the on paper superiority of the Wehrmacht's Cats.
As I've been digging a level deeper into WW2 it's also become obvious how downplayed the Soviet Red Army's technique was in the view of the West. While tactically Soviet units where generally below German and the Western Allies' skill level all the way up to around the brigade or division, strategically Stavka was operating in a league of its own way beyond the Wehrmacht, US and Britain. The Soviet Strategic Offensives with their use of mass, deep battle and operational maneuver literally tore apart the Germans and are especially impressive when compared to the set of fumbles the Normandy breakout was composed of.
In any case hopefully I can have my units ready for table top ops by mid August and see how I stack up against my coworker's forces.

Discovering Jade Empire has irredeemable bugs still in residence despite its age for which no effective fix exists.

Just about ready to hunt down the programmers and murder them for wrecking an otherwise highly enjoyable game with a broken aggro issue.

I saw the Balls of Steel Edition of Duke Nukem Forever on sale today at my local retailer for S$109. The Duke Nukem bust that comes with it looks smaller than I expected it to be.

I lost my Sun Conure about 30 minutes ago. It appears that some thief tried to take him, but the bird managed to escape (better free in the wild than stolen) - he was high up in a tree for some time but can't find him anymore.
