I'm honestly sorry to hear that. Even though I'm only some guy on the other side of the monitor and nothing can be said to make the situation any better, you have my deepest sympathies.

Be happy that you're with your father for his last days. I had the infinite pleasure of being wholly uninformed of my grandfather's path to his deathbed and wasn't told that anything was even wrong until <12 hours before he died. Meanwhile, my father (who was there and well-informed) didn't think to make the damn phone call.

@Bob-San, yes, he is where he would chose to be for his final days, with his family around him, and even though he barely responds to us, I think he is, at least, content.

It's always difficult for all parties involved; as I said, be glad that you're there. You've been given another day or week or however long to be with him.

I know a bit how that feels: My uncle died of a dangerous infection --- He died whilst he was recovering. So whilst everyone thought that he had made it, he died anyway

my game engine now knows how to tell time, oddly i had planned to work on making my console window dockable. funny how you never do the thing you planned. though this does lay the foundation for physics. i now have timestamps, frametime, and fps computation. should also keep track of paused time, but i need to add a pause mode for it to be useful. it was dificult because timing isnt something lua does well. its built-in os time functions are only accurate to a second. fortunately the socket module has a timing function proper, and i had planned to use that module for multiplayer anyway.

it was probibly a waste of time but i made my debug console dockable. iup is a ****ing awesome gui library. it so easy to make do what you want, unlike wxlua which is just a convoluted mess with pages of worthless machine generated documentation that sucks and is completely inintelegeble. anyway i thoroughly tested the timing features, and put some work into enhancing the keyboard controls. tomorrow, i hope, i can do some camera and object stuffs. so i can do more than make a model spin. i still need to revamp my matrix maths for column row order, opengl is wierd like that (actually its probibly the most elegant library ive used, so who gives a **** how its matrices work). though knowing me, il waste the day fixing bugs.

I found a suicide note and blood in her room, but fortunately some kind fella found her tonight...passed out on an intersection and called an ambulance.
