From what I've seen of Ken Akamatsu's other works, I'm not sure that "quality writing" is a term that could ever be attached to him.

The thing is, throughout most of Negima, it was. He kept things consistent and plot hole free across a quite complex universe. Anything that looked like an inconsistency later turned out to be foreshadowing.

He just slipped on the ending somehow. And I know the Japanese prefer open-ended conclusions, but this seems a bit much even by that standard.

Got home yesterday, found Firespawns XBOX 360 games in my room, thought nothing of it. This morning, noticed my work bag on the floor and thought nothing of it. On the DLR (Docklands Light Railway) this morning tried turning my kindle on and to my utter dismay, shock and RAAAAAAAGE. Half the screen was dead. All i can assume is that at some point over the weekend. Firespawn TROD on my work bag and killed my kindles screen.





Luckily for him Amazon customer service is quite civilissed and after explaining that I won it in an Army Raffle last year for a fiver (true story bro) they seemed no to care as long aas it was registered to my Amazon account. So are sending me a replacement Kindle and are collecting my defective on for free. I can't begin to express how helpful they were at defusing my potential RAAAAAAAAGE at seeing Firespawn face-to-face again.

Coder's block. Collision detection for MultiSphereShapes (effectively equivalent to Bullet's btMultiSphereShape). Most of the 'progress' I've made in the past few days has been refactoring stuff so that all of the //TODO: implement this lines are in MultiSphereShape.cpp

Coder's block. Collision detection for MultiSphereShapes (effectively equivalent to Bullet's btMultiSphereShape). Most of the 'progress' I've made in the past few days has been refactoring stuff so that all of the //TODO: implement this lines are in MultiSphereShape.cpp

Can't you just sequentially check each sphere independently? you know, like calculate the distance between the point or volume your checking and each of the origins of the spheres, then check the each sphere from the nearest to the farthest by sorting the distances (maybe use a linked list?). Chances are, if there is a collision, it would be with the nearest object... unless the furthest object of course dwarfes the other two (example: a mickey-mouse symbol made of three spheres, and your checking collision detection with the magician's hat vs the symbol)

Yes, DDR...and Contra...and Castlevania...and Gradius...and the Ninja Turtles arcade games...and Silent Hill...and Metal Gear Solid...and freaking Frogger...and a ton more.  In comparison, Crytek developed...two FPS franchises.  Seems pretty clear-cut to me.
