Laparoscopy is surgery performed using multiple small (0.5cm-1.5cm) incisions, at least one of which is occupied by a small camera, or a laparoscope.  Basically, they'll slice me open in three different places, stick a rod-shaped camera inside of me to find the exact location of the problem, and then perform the surgery in the exact location of the problem after it is determined.

I have an inguinal hernia (WARNING: PICTURES ARE GRAPHIC AND ALMOST CERTAINLY NSFW, but they're mostly medical diagrams and one or two pictures of a person who has the issue at advanced stages).

So yes, this isn't pleasant, but I've had it before on the other side of my body (the left side; this time, it's on the right side)--it's just that last time, a laparoscope wasn't used.

I'm considering drinking three energy drinks to see if they have any effect. Seems to make most people at work rather bouncy, but caffeine hasn't really ever affected me much

I got some complimentary texts this morning from both and tbh. It's intefering with work now 

I'm trying to coax them into regular "slots" where i get a days rest between them rather than the equivalent of a gym session with no sleep, hard day of work, repeat repeat repeat....


Changing the subject, Something awfuls Photoshop Phriday had me in stitches and i'd quite like a similar thing on HLP with a Freespace twist.

so i finally saw prometheus, and i was somewhat disapointed. id expect to see one of those 'wtf did i just watch' movies back in the 70s, but not in this day and age. il point out some obvious ****. some of the art design were leftovers from the dune '73 movie that was never made. for example the large engineer structure was originally intended to be the harkonnen stronghold. this is not totally bad as it is hr giger's work (pretty much the vision behind the alien), but you think they could have come up with something original. thats kind of a minor gripe, and if i wasnt a huge fan of dune id have never made the connection. a lot of stuff from dune '73 made its way into alien, as that was what netted hr giger the job. so very minor issue. its always interesting to how much stuff that gets rejected gets fed back into the machine to make more movies.

second thing that bugged me was the proto-alien at the end, which kinda pisses over the predator plot integration thats been going on since the avp games came out. this places fully developed xenomorphs in the present day (or prior to 1990 when predator 2 came out and showed us an alien skull). thats like saying, oh by the way, that predator stuff never happened. you cant drastically change the universe like that, and then go and change it back some years later. unless you want to do an engineers vs predator to boot. i did go and re-watch alien to take a look at the engineer vessel at the beginning, and i will say that ship and its pilot (obviously too large to be a predator) needed to be explained, but not so bad it justified a new movie. we could have had another alien sequal and if it spent 5 minutes explaining the boneship (as some of the games called it) it would have answered the question just as well as this movie.

other than that it was an ok movie. if you excuse the fact that it doesn't try to explain a damn thing it shows in the movie. i dont like it when the poke twice as many holes into something by trying to close up one or two. if anything it made me want to watch the alien trilogy (well at least alien and aliens, 3 was ok and 4 was ****. walmart buys out weyland yutani, wtf?). anyway aliens should be done right now. in other news i just made me a grilled cheese sandwich, which i ate while typing this. while i was making it the largest moth i had ever seen flew into the kitchen. i swatted at it with the hand that was not holding the spatula and slammed it into the ground, stunned. i then disposed of it by placing a cat in front of it. not the cute one that gets all the credit, the fat one that is always in my lap while im trying to code.

They both know the situation as I said, fill an existing need. Jo's normally too hot for me to score with so I added my emotional crutch skill and raised myself a point or two scooter's just happy to get laid. She'd bang jo-jo too. But jo-jo doesn't roll that way.

alien was such a rapetastic movie. so was aliens which i just watched. alien is good at raep (seriously rape was the whole premise on the movie, dont believe me read the wikipedia article on it). i still dont get where that squid came from. seriously, a squid, is that the best they could come up with. that looks nothing like the alien or the snake thing from the caves. of course the xenomorph strain seems to evolve rather rapidly considering how it can produce vastly different species over the course of a single movie. just goes to show you that when on an alien world, with aliens around, especially aliens with mad genetic engineering 5ki11z, its generally a good idea to use protection. its 7:30 am and im going to bed.
