making significant headway into my backlog of games. in red faction armageddon right now. i think it's fantastic. not sure why it was hated on so much at release. is it just because it's not an open-world like guerrilla? as your standard shooters go, i'd say its one of the funnest i've played.

game reviews are practically worthless these days. so many ****ty games get high ratings, and so many totally awesome games get completely ignored.

i was thinking of the reaction here as much as anything. i recall a discussion wherein many an HLPer expressed disappointment.

yeah, i COMPLETELY ignore critic reviews, and have gotten pretty good at recognizing valid vs. rant/fanboy/dirty console peasant reviews.

i found another amplifier in the dumpster. it is of japanese manufacture with analog du meters and a lot of professional grade connectors on the back. seems to have 2 sets of speaker outs, so it might do quadrophonic. the styling seem to indicate its from the lat 80s possibly early 90s, which if its true then that makes this one better than the one im using now. i wanted to test if it was better than mine, but i looked at the clock and it seems its 5am. so my fun will have to wait. with luck dumpster amplifier will be awesome.
