also the hobbit is like 40% 'wow it's good to be back' lotr vibe and 60% 'uuuuuuuuugh', so probably skip it

Yeah, The Hobbit was a bit too tedious for me.  I never thought I could say that a movie followed a book too closely. :I  It was almost like going through a checklist, like "okay, dwarven song, check.  Bilbo wakes up.  Check.  Bilbo finds the group has left without him and begins to second guess himself.  Bilbo runs off to catch up with them.  Check check."  and so on for three full hours.

ed:  I really liked the portrayal of Radagast.  I'm glad they spend more time with his character than the book did.  Also Andy Serkis' performance was easily the best part of the movie.

Decided to watch all of Farscape on Netflix since it was all there (well, cept the Peacekeeper Wars afaik) and...

I'm about halfway into the second seasons and...

I found out they're removing the show at the end of the year.

No way I can finish it all.

 :(

Hmm, I don't get the "Followed the book too closely" gripe about The Hobbit, it didn't follow the book that closely at all (Screethes of stuff were added, and cut), but I found it ****ing fantastic. Really, an awesome movie. Left me looking forward to the rest of the movies. A much more narratively complete story than The Hobbit, which is an achievement in itself.
