Light in my room burnt out. New bulb is much bluer. Not sure if happy.

Haven't accomplished **** this past week. Thought a little bit about my FPS engine, but didn't actually do anything with it... pretty sure the failed experimentation with depth buffer access was last week. Using Tuesday as the cutoff, because Tuesday is pizza day, and the pizza is supposed to be a reward for having accomplished something during the week. Will probably end up getting pizza this week anyway.

Being lonely/obsessed/insane, as usual. There's an infinity of possible futures, branching chaotically at the smallest changes. Someone get me CASSANDRA.

Some reason today mom suggested I try an online dating service... to which I replied "ugh".

I've updated Classic Shell to the latest version. Microsoft asked the Classic Shell Team to remove their Windows 8 style Start Button, so they have done so in this update. This removal coincides with a change to the Classic Shell logo from a seashell with the four Windows colours to a seashell with a blue gradient.

Still, it's a nice logo, and I find it tempting to eat the Start Button with their logo on it.

i was interrupted by my smoke alarm yesterday. i wasn't sure if it was a CO detector also and had a brief panic attack as i tried to decide if i needed to GTFO of my apartment or not. just to add to the fun i started feeling a bit light headed right as this all started. probably from the unbelievably shrill alarm in retrospect.

i remember thinking this would be a goddamn stupid way to die.

So I ordered myself a PS3, due to the overwhelming desire to play The Last of Us, Uncharted and RDR.
Yesterday, I look at the package tracker, and see that the package has indeed arrived (yay), but in the notes it says that the recipient was "Blue bin" (For those that are not german, waste paper bins have blue lids). Slightly alarmed, I call one of my housemates to check, and yes, the packages are indeed stuffed into our waste paper bin.

Seriously? Was it too ****ing hard to, I dunno, leave the package with my neighbours? Or, if they aren't available, leave it at the post office for later pickup?

I shall have to write a sternly worded letter, I think.

I find it strange that you ordered one though. I'd of figured you could've just picked one up yourself somewhere off a shelf

Convenience, mostly. Transporting a PS3 on a bike across town is not something I was particularly looking forward to, and the specific bundle I wanted (PS3 + Uncharted 3 + Gran Turismo 5) was unavailable at the local retailers.
