After 28mm Napoleonics everything else seems easy .  Actually they are not too complex, US equipment in the ETO was mostly OD green and all the stowage is much less precise than painting the buttons on a Hussard's pelisse.  The pioneer tools are probably the only real precision work and that's only a few careful strokes per vehicle.  The key is really good brushes and paint.

I'm putting together a TOE for a future Bundeswehr Heeresstruktur IV mixed Panzergrenadierbataillon.  I figure a good NATO woodland scheme on all those Leos and Marders is probably going to be a pain at that scale.

Depending on the author of the cartoon, it may be an inane reference to the seal hunt on the East coast, which is about as representative of Canada as a whole as deer hunters in Texas represent the entire USA.

usually when i hunt deer, i eat the thing. clubbing cute little critters for their fur (not to say this is strictly a canadian thing, i know a few trappers), when you could sell as pets at ten times the price, never made much sense to me. its ok to brutalize nature so long as your going to eat it. what i dont like is when people profane hunting, and then go buy meat at the store, because they are essentially supporting the mass murder of critters at holocaust levels. hunting seems a little bit more honest. when you are the one killing it you kinda start to empathize with them and actively work on your aim so you can put them down more humanely. which sounds like a much better way to die than being put on a conveyor belt and have a giant circular saw cut your neck open. if you are going to complain about my hunting habbits, go eat at the vegan table.
