Got up close to him. Actually, nearly skittled him with my ute - I got out to make sure he was OK, and only realized he was a small Perentie and not a Bungarra (which are much more common) once I got up close. They're not really dangerous to approach, as long as you're sensible about it.

Oh, well I bet you got a kick out of that then if you wanted to see one in the wild and you saw it up close. And thankfully it wasn't up close after it had been under the wheels of your ute.

Researching submission payment rates for fiction magazines and publications.  It ranges from last resort (flat $40/story) to holy **** ($750 for 3000 words) in what I can only assume to be descending likelihood of acceptance.

Still, money is a powerful motivation tool.

Ah, I know this one! It's the term for a "truck" over near Australia, and is short for utility (I think). Similar in the Americas were we have SUV's (Sport Utility Vehicles), the Ute applies to both van-like and truck-like vehicles.

"Ute" also refers to a Native American people.

Also, US Marines use the term to refer to their camo pattern service uniforms.

I've not really played rhythm games before, but I'm pleased now that Project Mirai on 3DS is going to be released outside of Japan. I'll definitely be picking that up!

They're awesome looking My prospects are a flippng VW Transporter or a VW caddy at this rate as they're allegedly good whenrepurposed to dog-vans.   

I'm picking up a nifty little Nikon D70 with some adequate glass today to cover my focal gap. My SONY Kit lens died so i'm siezing the oppertunity to try nikon and replace shortfall.  SO MANY CHEAP F LENSES.  Although my next buy will be the Sigma 10-20mm.

Either way, I'm going to enjoy my summer as I'm off meds (which weren't working) so yes to drinking again and yes to more firearms (going to get myself a pistol, T33) because meh to everything else

Honestly, after this terribly ****ty month (which wasn't supposed to be ****ty) it'll be nice to just do whatever the **** to get my mind off of everything in hopes it'll just go away. So very tired of dealing with bull**** both inside my head and outside factors

Shooting's fun. The Mrs and I joined a local club recently and she fired her first rifle. Only a Ruger .22 but she enjoyed it sporting her vermillion ballistic glasses.  Bought them because she thought they were nice and pink #facepalm
