What's interesting is how complex Zarek actually is as a character. He's greedy and power-grabbing, but at the same time actually does believe in what he's preaching.

For instance, allowing ship captain's to decide if Cylons were allowed aboard their ships completely undermines his federal authority and sets up a precedent for a more balkanized fleet political structure. Yet, it seems like he did this because he honestly did feel that it belonged in the hands of the ships. (of course he's done enough wheeling and dealing that this change of policy wouldn't hurt his own personal power...)

last nights ep was kind of a vomit fest. i nominate if for one of the worst eps ever.

It feels like it would only take them two or three episodes to reveal everything in a good way, but they have to stretch it all out for ten.

there are only 8 more eps right correct? they better be ****ing awesome!

Hey, if they are I won't complain.  I personally thought this week' s (2nd of 10) was a bit slow, but the previous one was good. Hopefully it won't become a trend.

I believe today's episode can accurately be described as one of the most massive Charlie Foxtrots in the history of the ragtag fleet...

Re: *drool* The Epic Journey BSG 4.5
I've got ron rico and sobe and have just watched the webisodes. Interesting. I'll have to see where they conclude in the actual series. Getting season 4 currently, wonder when that'll complete?

EDIT: I love ron rico!!!! My passion for it is retarded. It's the cheapest rum you can buy, but way too similar to bacardi in taste to not justify spending the extra dollars on the more expensive one.

Colonel tigh just sweeping the events of the raptor with gaeta under the carpet seemed highly unrealistic. He could use the excuse that the bad hoshi cylon killed everyone in an attempt to rejoin the non-defected cylons and he survived long enough to kill her over the course of many hours of air running out (seems like she might have been up to that anyway when she made a jump to the not former coordinates the fleet was normally at before the fleet jumped (which is where the fleet jumped back too)).

Every pilot's goal is to rise up in the ranks and go beyond their purpose to a place of command on a very big ship. Like the colossus; to baseball bat everyone.

It might have undermined his federal authority, but since that was limited it didn't matter. What that did do was drastically increase his personal power.
"The reason for this is that the original Fortran got so convoluted and extensive (10's of millions of lines of code) that no-one can actually figure out how it works, there's a massive project going on to decode the original Fortran and write a more modern system, but until then, the UK communication network is actually relying heavily on 35 year old Fortran that nobody understands." - Flipside

I was blown away.  Best episode in a long time.  *drool*

Spoiler:
The question is now.  What happens to Tigh in the next episode?

Re: *drool* The Epic Journey BSG 4.5
Maybe a little deus ex machina from the directors and a resurrection ship materializes?

Not too hopeful (that'd be crap actually), but I am wondering the same thing...

Resurrection ship is no use without the Hub. Don’t know if they’ve got another one of those lying around or not...

They Cylons don't have any other hub's, at least the seven "known" models.
The final five otoh, we still don't know how or if they resurrect.
Maybe the pass their memories ( or parts of 'em ) to their children.

My guess is Tigh wakes up the same place where Ellen has been since New Caprica, and possibly in the same place where Kara was resurrected.

Hm, i have doubts about that Kara has been resurrected ( in the Cylon way ).
This smells more like BoL "resurrection", imo.

Re: *drool* The Epic Journey BSG 4.5
One of the things that really grabbed me in this episode is the fact that I can agree with Gaeta in such a way to actually support the revolution.  But at the same time can revolution ever be justified?  I wouldn't be alive if it weren't for revolution, hard questions for me anyway.
