Did you get to see the cinematic between 'White Noise' and the final mission? Sometimes it doesn't play.

If it didn't, root around in your Transcend directory. It's well worth it.

Nope, didn't see it. Pretty cool... all that played back in one minute.

Transcend has mindraped me. And I love it.

I'm still confused about what happened in the last campaign, though...can anyone enlighten me on it? I'm not familiar with this board's spoiler methods.

The Transcendant was finally defeated and as a result the universe was raped back to the way it was before, with our heroes ending up to the point where it all started; the asteroid field.

Same here. I will never forget that moment. Just after the help me part ended, with me already freaked out beyond recognition, a few moments of silence and then the loud static PLEASE. That just finished me off right there.

So, yes, it is Transcend. Best campaign ever made for Freespace 2 as far as I am concerned.

There are few games that can seriously affect your mind. And this is just a MOD for a game. I wish my computer would get it's head out of it's engines and start working again so I can play with MediaVPs.

I'm going to have to download Transcend on my current computer, just so I can rout around the

NAO! These two campaigns can't be compared!

Trascend is pure mind****, with creeps eating your back and neighbours shouting "SHUT THE HELL UP!!!". I played "The Suffering", "F.E.A.R."s, "Silent Hill 2&3", but the shout OMGWTFMUMMY!!! only happened when playing Transcend.

On the other leg, head or whatever, Sync got me trapped in "hmm wtf is happening guyz" and after that, I wanted to ask these scientists "Excuse me, wtf were u doin?", and the ending of Sync is pretty nasty too. My dad was an observer when I played whole Sync, and when it was finished he said "Well, they're ****ed".

Overall:
Sync:
Gameplay 8/10
climax 9/10
story 10/10
graphics - well, mediavps rock so 120837129738/10

Transcend:
Gameplay 6/10 (the "OMG LETS GO TO DE NOD" syndrome ...)
Climax 11/10 (pure horror/thriller)
Story 9/10 (Overall, COOL AND I LOVED IT, but... well, that's NOT gonna happen. I hope. I think.)
graphics - as above

Sync gets a bonus for "Am watching beta 4, and u r firing, not good!! Get these lazors awaaaay", and Transcend gets a bonus for "omg epic moments, you're a really master Flinstoner FREDder"

Wow long post, cheers guys, and I hope Transcend gets you

Okay, last MISSION, but what happened in the final mission wasn't what spun me for a loop. It was the exact last second of gameplay before the mission ended.

Spoiler:
Everything vanished. Did that mean that the player became the next Transcendent?

I think I need to play both of these again. The last fight against the Transcendant was pretty sweet though. No shields. No targeting. No radar signature. FINAL DESTINATION!

But Sync was cool too, from what I remember, and it's only the first chapter whereas Transcend is a complete story. All I really remember from Sync, is that early on you download some encrypted data from another fighter which has yet to be explained, and that you and your buddies get back to GTVA space right around the end of the second Shivan invasion, except it was different somehow... yeah I should play Sync again.

Not really. My ending time was 13 minutes, very short compared to some Homesick missions I played . . .

I did over 20 minutes on that one, IIRC :nervous:
