if you don't like regular ubuntu try mint
Tried Mint, found it to be worse. In think there's an inverse correlation here. The "better" the community says a given distro is, the worse it actually is when it comes to overall usability. The problem, though, is that I'm over Linux. It may have been fun 10 years ago as a way to annoy the proprietary software establishment, but now I'm sick of the drama, the politics and the general lack of respect for users interests.
if you don't like linux don't use it
uhh, yeah.
Believe me, if I had that choice then I would be exercising it. The only reason Linux is even on there is because my RC build of 7 was expiring and it was the only thing I had handy that would prevent the machine from becoming a doorstop. I'd rather run an OS that sucks, but lets me keep using the machine in some capacity, than one that doesn't (suck), but that I can't use.
