(Man, I can't believe how much has happened around here just in the month and a half I've been away! FYI, I've been getting ready for exams, which start next week, so my time here will be brief; I gotta get back to work.)
Setekh, I understand how rough things are going for you. My mother was diagnosed with cervical cancer several years ago and went through chemotherapy herself.
She died last July.
It's been really rough dealing with it, especially since I'm in New York for law school and my father and sister are still home in Washington DC. Being away from my family so soon after my mother's death has been a huge strain, to say the least.
So I applaud your decision to stay with your mother and the rest of your family. It's what has to be done.
I'm gonna miss you, pal. HLP and the Freespace Community have always made me feel welcome here, (after all, we're here because of the love of the Freespace game) but it is because of you in particular that I always enjoyed coming here. Setekh, you always made me feel welcome here and it was always a pleasure to see your hard work here and to have you as my friend.
You will be missed.
Don't sweat it, pal. Stay with your family, spend time with your mom, and don't sweat the small stuff. Take as long as you need. We'll still be here when you get back.
