Sethbling created a filter for McEdit which allows for controlling biomes to the very coordinate (x&z)

 Just thought this might be useful for certain individuals especially in swamp biomes and obvious others.
*hint my swamp biome needs changing to a Jungle even though I'm not playing for another 2ish months, so I'm not high priority

Err guys remember, more exploring = bigger filesize. So try keep the exploring limited in one direction to ease the burden on qaz...no need to go exploring up north as well.

EDIT: And wow jungles are ridiculously common in 1.2 lands.

There a few cool new features in the works for 1.3.  Cocoa beans will finally be a renewable resource: kind of like the real thing, they grow in pods on the sides of jungle trees, which drop new beans when you break them.  Also, there's a new map type called "Large Biomes," which does pretty much what it says.

Biggest feature of 1.3 by far is that it's going to (hopefully) make most singleplayer mods SMP compatible when they update.

Doesn't seem like it, from what I've seen.  Honestly I think they'd be extremely reluctant to try that again, given that the game is technically in full-release as opposed to beta.  I suspect that the concept of map types was implemented at least partly as a way around that...if they add something that requires fundamentally changing terrain generation again, they can just stick it in as an alternate type now, instead of imposing it on every previously-made map.

Hey guys, I wanted to report that someone seems to have blown up part of the Storehouse at Spawn, it seems a few Personal Chests may have been blown up as well. Damage is minimal luckily, and whoever did this did leave all the chests alone (luckily). It does however require repair, including a bit of redstone it seems.

Also Grimper, I recognize that, the assets in that video are certainly from the LB Texture Pack that I use. Also noticing the Templars, good to see that skin getting used correctly

I already color-coded the airlock wiring by hand, and I don't really have any redstone circuits anywhere else yet, so that'd be a no for me.
