Does anyone know why sometimes the compass on the DynMap isn't orientated with North at top? Sometimes North is moved to the 1:30 (NE) position and everything gets rotated. Not sure if I'm doing it by accident or if it's put that way by an administrator or something.

I don't know if anyone bothered to look ath the cave view in dymap, but the number of tunnels we have dug is staggering. They're going everywhere.

And most people dont' evne know there is already a tunnel/rail to somehwere...usually several of them.

P.S. - if any of you creatives logs on while I'm away, I humbly ask for some leaves. Lots of leaves. Of all kinds. I'm compeltely out and I need a lot for my gardens.

I dont' recall there's a portal in New TrashMania. Not aht it's stricly necessary, since I have a warp and 2 rails.
If I were to build a portal, I'd probably place in near the mage tower..or in it..or in the tower's garden.

Is that a public warp?  And if so, share the goods, since every combination I tried the other day failed.

Uh, I don't know if you realize but the dynmap also shows natural caverns (kinda cheatery if you ask me) as well as Abandoned Railways. So many of those tunnels visible are probably not player-made.

Player-made railways are distinct and easily recognizable.

I think we got a griefer.

Several builds have burned down..

My hunters/farmers lodge, my wooden ship, someone house near the tower of E-Peen and one house near qazes bridge - that's whatI know off.
Also, some blocks have been broken by hand, lava left to flow and similar.


Bloody brilliant.
Qaz if you're still reading this, can I ask for creative back, at least for a day?
I got tons of stuff that now needs fixing.

Qaz can probably fix it himself with backup chunks n such...but yeh trashman still needs creative. It's almost cruel to not let him build his massive constructions :\

How does a guy get to the nether? Are there portals near the spawn, because if there are I can't see any signs for 'em. Trash said something about a portal at his place but after walking around there for 10 minutes I didn't find one. (You'd think it would be in the wizards tower but guess not )

There actually is one, right up on the hilltop above spawn (look up in the sky; it's directly beneath the skyway hub).

There's one in the Spirit Temple (sandstone building) in town, too.

There are portals everywhere, I think I'm one of the few people on the server without a personal portal, you just need to find them. Getting lost on the server really is half the experience... lol

Yeah I know there are a bunch of portals, just no signs marking where they are. Exploring is cool, but exploring other people's houses is a bit odd. Especially if the nether's intended as some mass transit system to some respect. Just a suggestion anyway, if you mark the rails in the main hub, might as well mark the portals as well.


Also one thing else I would recommend is putting a crate of minecarts for the skyrail or whatever it's called. I didn't look too hard, but I went up there and there were no carts visible which is kinda silly (new players aren't going to have minecarts obviously). I tend to just go to that other rail that goes by the fenris becuase there's a crate wtih minecarts in there. Just put a crate at both ends of the rail or each stop and hope that anyone without a cart just borrows it and deposits it in the other end.


Incidentally, how does one lock a chest?
