I made several mistakes last night, one was taking an emotional reaction to the community over my computer being stolen...

I actually ment to reply to the fs2 armada thread as a good work, but im mad at HLP...

Here is why i was angry, this is mostly directed at you Thunder, I posted a huge message on how my computer was stolen the very next day after i had acquired a certain modeling program from kazaa.  I'm not saying that i am any way more right by admitting the guildt, but i meant that as a warning to hlpers if they ever tried what i did, it was just to coincidental, it angered me that the topic was closed and not just edited, not one person said darn... that stinks or anything, so thats why i got mad, thats why i left HLP, unable to help with my mod, although snake has done a great job...who knows, but i apologize for the crude language last night

Thanks for reminding me, and I still feel that locking the topic was justified. It does suck that your computer was stolen but over the time it's been open (and from other forums) the staff generally have found a zero tolerence policy (or near enough... mentioning it won't get you banned - but posting links is another matter) works best. You can't warn peolpe about having their computer stolen as you might a virus or a weather accident, everywhere is different and you can't say "my computer was stolen, yours might be next" to anyone here unless they lived in your immediate area - so claiming it was a topic meant as a warning doesn't really work.

All in all, I am truly sorry that your computer was stolen, I'd be livid if it happened - but I think your grudge is directed at the wrong people here, Neither I nor anyone else at HLP is to blame for that and I closed the topic before the obvious conversation about warez ensued, nothing more. I hope you don't continue to harbour bad feelings against myself or HLP in general (HLP in general has done nothing to you anyway, so that's a bit odd). If you do then that's to bad - but it won't be my loss in the end.

*shed was burgled*
*dealt with burglers*

That's the good thing about having siblings who know every low-life in the town.

I thought that was the good thing about having rusty woodcutting implements lying about and being the kinda guy who doesn't mind running down the street after burglars, stark naked, armed, and screaming.

That's a story for another time, kids.

Anyway. Lots of people use Kazaa. Lots of people get their stuff stolen. The two statistics aren't really related, and in fact in this case the two events might be unrelated. I and some of my friends have been burgled before- never used Kazaa, I just live in a ****hole, and moved out of an even worse ****hole a few years ago.

It's a marvelous, wonderous thing. My brother and sister know EVERYBODY. I can get a ton of kick-ass clubs, get free video and game rentals (non-illegal contact, but still, pretty cool), cheap/free games and consoles, cheap electronics, cheap clothing and all the [censored---------!] and wierd smelling pastes my twisted little mind can handle.

I dunno about newer or better, but I think I've got the "bigger" in hand - seriously! :p :D

"...The quintessential quality of our age is that of dreams coming true. Just think of it. For centuries we have dreamt of flying; recently we made that come true: we have always hankered for speed; now we have speeds greater than we can stand: we wanted to speak to far parts of the Earth; we can: we wanted to explore the sea bottom; we have: and so  on, and so on: and, too, we wanted the power to smash our enemies utterly; we have it. If we had truly wanted peace, we should have had that as well. But true peace has never been one of the genuine dreams - we have got little further than preaching against war in order to appease our consciences. The truly wishful dreams, the many-minded dreams are now irresistible - they become facts." - 'The Outward Urge' by John Wyndham

"The very essence of tolerance rests on the fact that we have to be intolerant of intolerance. Stretching right back to Kant, through the Frankfurt School and up to today, liberalism means that we can do anything we like as long as we don't hurt others. This means that if we are tolerant of others' intolerance - especially when that intolerance is a call for genocide - then all we are doing is allowing that intolerance to flourish, and allowing the violence that will spring from that intolerance to continue unabated." - Bren Carlill
