Quality work, dude, much respect. Atmospheric stuff that reminds me of Freelancer.
That being said, Bringer of Death has a synth line that kicks in around 1:55 and gradually increases in both pitch and volume. It's pretty nice up to about 2:30-2:45, but it keeps reaching into higher registers, and by the time it stops at 3:30, it's doing painful things to my ears and I don't want to hear that sound anymore.
Thank you so much!
I appreciate your comments on
Bringer of Death. This one is a bit tricky, because the way you feel about it is actually kind of what I was going for... The difference between annoyingly grating and satisfyingly uncomfortable is a thin one, and subjective at that, so I have to accept that this one is going to split opinions.
That being said, I'm still doing lots of learning so I'll think about other ways to achieve this in the future that might be a little more universal. I appreciate the timing details so that I know where things got out of hand. This type of track is not in my comfort zone, that's for sure! Plus maybe in my age I'm losing sensitivity to high frequencies.
Of course, if it's 80-90% of the way to something you'd like to use for a mod, but won't quite cut it, I'm happy to try and work with you on a revised version. (That goes for any of these tracks.)
