Yeah, those nebulae look awesome.

Oh and the ships look good too.
[16:57] <CommanderDJ> What prompted the decision to split WiH into acts?
[16:58] <battuta> it was long, we wanted to release something
[16:58] <battuta> it felt good to have a target to hit
[17:00] <RangerKarl> not sure if talking about strike mission, or jerking off
[17:00] <CommanderDJ> WUT
[17:00] <CommanderDJ> hahahahaha
[17:00] <battuta> hahahaha
[17:00] <RangerKarl> same thing really, if you think about it

I don't like the + flares on the stars since they'll be static and weird looking, but otherwise, fantastic.

Re: A celebration of Freespace
Yeah, and those flares are actually the product of the internal structure of the telescopes that take the pictures. Wish there was a way to scrub them out of the (several) skyboxes with that problem.

Aristeia station single handedly routs the entire Shivan armada and drags the hivemind's corpse back to Beta Aquilae.

Is it me, or that beam is just a tad too small?

Hmm..should have made that beam larger. Didn't test the shooting before now...but it does kinda fit the GTVA command, no?

Re: A celebration of Freespace
The thingy says 4.0, but that as low as it went and it seems more like 2 or 3 fps, with occasional stretches of a second and a half when stuff was exploding.

Re: A celebration of Freespace
You can try it yourself!
I managed to get the battle going by going WAY OUT. LODs manage to make BP-massive run at a relatively fast 10 fps (maybe).
Not too keen on trying it again though. Start was as slow as hell... :blah:

Re: A celebration of Freespace
LODs for GTVA ships maybe, but the Karuna has no LODs. Because whoever made it HATES US ALL.

He's actually both very nice and very aware of the issues with his models.
