I would agree with this, except that some people don't know they need help.  And they are usually the ones that need it the most.

The problem is, there is always a line. How many times can anyone forgive somebody, or let something pass. In the end, they are simply being taken advantage of, the person neither wants nor needs your help other than as a source of income, and when it all goes wrong, you can garauntee they will find a way of blaming you for it.
Sometimes the only help you can give people, is to let them learn their own lessons.

I'm with An0n on that one. We don't live in wonderland, there's no nice Dr Beckett that will come and help you out of the ****. He MUST help her? All you good christians, aren't you supposed to say "help yourself, and god will help you"? She doesn't deserve any help, that kind, they don't WANT to change. And then they bring problems to you, and don't give a **** afterward ( even if they wanted, they couldn't anyway, they're always high ). Let the sister rot.

I have to disagree, the thing with addicts, all addicts, is their personalities are being acted on by an external force, their addiction.

Certainly there are psychological factors that lead to addiction and these have to dealt with just as surely as the physical ones.

All people have the right to face their future free of external impediment.  We have to help where possible.

What I'm basically saying is that an0n's sister and addicts in general don't think clearly and don't realize they need help to be able to ask for it.

It's depressing and disappointing to see such lack of compassion from people who would freely give it to one less deserving.

It's rather ironic that you say that liberator - because you're addicted to something very powerful that affects your judgement in very sinister ways that would take me a month to explain to you

you'd only understand and listen to it if you overcame your addition before hand, or during the explaination

Deal with that kind of people for a few years, than come back and talk about it.

Ok, let's not go this road :)

Lib, from a certain point of view, An0n could be considered to be helping his sister by phoning the Police and giving them her location. It's a long term help, but it is more help than he or his family are able to give.
It's like being an alcoholic, until they admit they are an alcoholic, the only thing you can do is hope they are asleep when you have company, and padlock the fridge.

Well an0n, with any luck, if half of what you say is true, she'll be behind bars for a while, making your life that much more pleasant.

Not touch the pc in a month?
No, I can't do that :p

Being without internet for over a month?
I was cut off for about 4 months about a year ago, one of the worst moments of my life.

An0n: just call the cops and let them handle it.
People who are like that are just utter pathetic and I can quite well understand why you hate her -_-

Nico: I've just been on holidays, been using the comp every single day still :D

I have big plans, now if only I could see them through.
