Rhino, as far as I know, is the easiest to learn to use. Once you have the basics down with that, you could probably get into other programs, as the concepts are all basically the same (just under different names usually). Myself, I find Lightwave to be the most powerful, MAX next. The only problem with them is the average user can't afford them. ($2500 CDN for Lightwave 8, $4000+ CDN for MAX 6)
The only sure way of getting anything out of it is to keep at it and don't stop. This isn't something you can learn in an hour. It can take months, if not years to get anywhere resembling good. Christ, I've been using Lightwave for about 3 years now. I still suck. Keep at it, when you need help ask, but only
AFTER you've looked through the help files, and Googled it. Questions about the basics usually get torched.
Go do a few tutorials, try a few things out, do a few more tutorials, and come back when you have something a little more well defined.
