Kepp at it cobra, you can expect to create around 50-100 'practice' models before you start realy getting into the swing of things. It may be a good idea to try and always look to incorperate new modeling techniqes and tools.

it was the third.

the first one a joke. it was a cylinder that i accidentally made and told my friend that 'oh man, i just got like 4 5/5s for this missile model! CHECK IT OUT!' and it was crap :p

the second one was this thing i made in milkshape, still pretty good IMO... ill grab it when i can...

Actually, now that I think about it, that ship wasnt my first mesh. My first was a sun. A freakin tesselated sphere with procedural textures and hypervoxels. I'm actually quite proud of that one.

hey guys, i just redid my xwing after deleting it by accident. here it is so far:

tomorrow i'm gonna resize the cannons. i've got a model x-wing for reference.

the first one pic was better than the one shown here now, but i forgot it was a pic of the crappy x-wing. *goes to make a better pic*

[EDIT2] This one actually took 20 minutes, since it took me 5 to resize everything after noticing a bunch of parts that were over-sized.

Better again! :yes: Ajdust the shape of the nosecone, and you've got a pretty accurate Xwing model (IIRC. I haven't seen star wars for years...)

i'm going to do a little bit of resizing... what I'm going to do is try to make the engines a little more definitive.

and thorn, this is pretty much the best i can do for now, i can't do good definitions yet :p

I've added some definitions to the guns and engines (guns: pic #1, engines: pic #2.





I've also added an R2 unit, but i need to shape it out a little bit.
